That person e-mailed me, And I am sorry. And, I have unblocked them. I have screwed-up by letting my fears hurt someone else's feelings. What say ye?

It's worse than it sounds. This I realized later was a good person.

((((Uncle)))))

I know exactly how you feel.
I've taken to emailing people who add me whom I don't know and asking them about themselves...of course they could lie,but it's a chance I take.
I don't know why I'm afraid either...:(
it's kind of silly really, but I know exactly how you feel.
Some email me back, and some don't.

blessings :)

I commend you for a public apology as that was going the extra mile. I have changed my mind about people on here, as in some that I thought were reasonable turned out to be very spiteful and visa versa. I received an email that "warned' me about false Christians. The person was not known to me, so when I found his Q&A private, which prevented me from verifying his accusations, I emailed and said that I could not base a decision on one unknown accuser. When I received no reply, I eventually blocked him because if it looks like a troller, smells like....well you get the point. If I have a reason to believe otherwise, I will follow your example.

I've received just enough email from Y!A to know I'm stepping on some toes that would love to break a foot off in my bottom. I wonder how many would try to stalk if they could get some real info? I know they can't because my house hasn't burned down yet but I'm sure they pray for it to happen. I love them anyway and so should you.

Blessed Be!

Understand... had feared this would happen when it first went into effect...had canceled all my friends and closed up shop to protect them in case someone doesn't like my answers and hurts them instead of me :(

Hadn't realized the extent of that till daughter called me and asked what happened? Where did I go in Y&A? oops! Had erased myself from friend's networking, lololol Then she told me that Yahoo is also watching those whom did what I did as "suspicious" double oops!

Still, I waited before I opened up to the public and then felt reassured that all was well... besides, not here for the points, just the people as well as fresh fodder to feed my researching/reading appetite! (lol) :)

Peace be with you :)

I block a lot of people who's outlook is considerably different than mine...especially if I think they are really a troll. This site is full of trolls who can wreck havoc with you if they take a mind to. Right now, one troll has his sites set on Redcat63...she is a great contributor, and YA is about to ban her because of a troll. Block anyone you suspect of being a troll! If you are wrong, and it becomes obvious later, you can unblock them...but you owe no one an appology here...this is a screwed up section of YA..better safe than lose your email!

Me? I say trust your instincts. If you are uncomfortable with that person, block them. No big deal. There are lots of people in the world - and if this person is going to take it personally that a virtual stranger blocked them, perhaps you are simply better off without them. There are so many people in the world - we can't sweat about everyone.

Peace!

You are a nice guy.
Did the person apologize?

Why were you afraid?
Sometimes you might need to be afraid. I think some of these folks are creepy. Hate mail is no fun.

Aw Uncle, you made a mistake. Everyone does. It takes a big person to admit it openly. The person you blocked shouldn't be mad at you because there are alot of bad people on here and we do have to be careful. God bless you.

Well, you can't be too careful. At least they felt comfortable enough with you to try to clear it up. Sounds like you have resolved the issue with them, that's really all that matters. I think we all know (most of us) what problems there have been lately with "trolls". Take care.

Misunderstandings happen, even between the best of friends in real life. You know as well as anyone we all make mistakes. If people are earest in their dealings with one another, things tend to work out fine.
