If you are a soldier for God and you are involved in spiritual warfare does that mean I can shoot you if you come onto my property to preach to me? After all I'm not a Xtian. and am basically your "enemy" since I don't want your superstition.

"We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity." -- Anne Coulter, Christian Peace Activist

Conquer,Convert or kill them.

"The three-in-one/one-in-three mystery of Father, Son and Holy Ghost made tritheism official. The subsequent almost-deification of the Virgin Mary made it quatrotheism . . . Finally, cart-loads of saints raised to quarter-deification turned Christianity into plain old-fashioned polytheism. By the time of the Crusades, it was the most polytheistic religion to ever have existed, with the possible exception of Hinduism.

This untenable contradiction between the assertion of monotheism and the reality of polytheism was dealt with by accusing other religions of the Christian fault.

The Church - Catholic and later Protestant - turned aggressively on the two most clearly monotheistic religions in view - Judaism and Islam - and persecuted them as heathen or pagan.

The external history of Christianity consists largely of accusations that other religions rely on the worship of more than one god and therefore not the true God.

These “pagans” (Islam and Judaism) must therefore be converted, conquered and/or killed for their own good in order that they benefit from the singularity of the Holy Trinity, plus appendages." -- The Doubter's Companion (John Ralston Saul)

I'm not sure what you mean but the spiritual battle is not between man but against Satan (the ruler of dark world).

Ephesians 6: 10-18(New International Version)

The Armor of God
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

It has nothing to do with guns and such..the sword is the sword of truth and our ammunition is the words of the Bible. We use the truth of the Bible to try and bring all men who are seeking, knowledge of who Jesus is and what he did on that cross, so long ago. We also stand ready to defend our beliefs.

1 Thessalonians 5:8 Parallel Translations

NASB: But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. (NASB ©1995)

GWT: Since we belong to the day, we must be sober. We must put on faith and love as a breastplate and the hope of salvation as a helmet.(GOD'S WORD®)

KJV: But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

organized Christianity has a long history of using soldiers to conquer non-Christians; even though they're generally less violent today it seems that a certain percentage still like the imagery.

when you are a soldier of God that doesn't mean you are to kill physically for God. that's wrong. to defend and protect those are the main job of soldiers.. right? they are just forced to kill bec they are provocked to do so by the enemy.
so, by being a soldier for God, you protect your faith and other believers as well...

It's someone who fights in the name of their god. So, you're fighting for your god. Oh, and spreading your religion.

It means you are to either convert or destroy whomever does not believe as you do.
