Matthew 19:19:
"And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery."
let it be known that if you are remarried, and neither of you cheated on one another in your first marriage. You are going to go to hell. I do not care if you think you carry Jesus name. Do You think you can hide in his name. His name is ment for you to ask for forgiveness, not to keep sinning in it and I am not Judging I am convicting you.
the churchs these days will mate anything to gether in my eyes for a buck.
if Jesus is real by the way.

We have been on our Starter marriage for 14 years.
Why are Atheist less likely to divorce than Christians? It seems the Atheist think more realistically about how marriage will affect their life before committing.
Blessed Be!

Let me tell you I have been married 2 times and am very happily married to my husband for 12 years. I hope that I don't go to hell for this but, and I am sure I will be questioned about it at the end, and so be it. I was a stranger to myself, I was raised in a atheist family, and now I know The home is basically a sacred institution. The perfect marriage is a uniting of three persons, a man and a woman and God. I didn't have that before. And I can't change it, so why should I dwell on it?

"His name is ment for you to ask for forgiveness, not to keep sinning in"
This is true. However, I think you can be divorced and remarried and get heaven. First, remember the man on the cross beside Jesus. He was forgiven when he could do no deeds. Second, should you get divorced again? Third, there is no hell. Hell is a mistranslation. Forth, who did Jesus forgive, the woman caught in adultery or the Pharisees who were going to stone her?
Great answer Princess Kait. We are free from sin.

I've never married anyone outright and on purpose but I perceived a divorce on a subtle plane between me and a person I liked from 1995-2005. My soul had some kind of marriage to him I think but maybe it was done by relatives when I wasn't conscious yet. I saw a divorce document with Hebrew on it and it was all very sincere and official

Did you write that or are you quoting someone else?
Whoever wrote it doesn't have the right to convict anyone of anything unless they are a licensed judge in their state. And I sure didn't see any trial going on.
As if. LOL!
Kinda funny to watch foaming at the mouth going on like that though.

Judge not lest ye be judged. What if I say I'm sorry? Where's the love? Where's the forgiveness?

If they are saved they will not go to hell. ALL sin is forgiven when you ask Jesus into your heart. It doesn't matter if you were mean to your brother, if you divorced and have another spouse, or if you murdered 500 people, you are forgiven.

to say "you are going to hell" is not convicting anyone...that is called judging.....if Jesus is real ...by the way? If you dont know that Jesus is real, you are in judgement, my friend.... you are not judge & jury.....May God show you Himself before you feel the right to tell us/others about who He is..or isnt.....

YesI have, but i know that God so loved me that he gave his only son, so that i could be save if i ask for forgivenss.
It is between me and God....Only he will judge me. But i also know that i'd asked him for forgivenss, and I KNOW that he forgave me already...I know this, becuz he's answered all my prayers and in the bible, he also said, "ask and you shall receive"

To be realistic, if we're going to make following the Bible word for word a criteria for being a Christian, then nobody would be able to call themselves Christians.
