Immediately after the call hang up, get dial tone. Then hit *57
This initiates a call trace. You can then call your phone company and inform them of the harassment. With the call trace you initiated they can give that information to the police and create a report. THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU THE TRACE INFO. So do not ask. It's the most correct way to stop the calls.

You need to call your phone company and the police. Tell the phone co. what's happening, you can also ask them to supply you with the feature call back called *69 to where you can do exactly that and get the phone number and who its registered to. I used to have that and we had a problem with that like you are once and I had the phone co. put a stop to the harassment. Turned out it was a bunch of kids from our elementary school where our children went and the police contacted their parents. Needless to say, they weren't very happy when they heard what their little angels were doing! P.S. DO NOT tell them you are going to call the police! That defeats the purpose of "sneaking up on them" with the phone company and finding out who it is. This is NOT a game to be played. Ok, maybe it was *67, I thought it was *69, sorry.

Try putting a whistle next to the phone and the next time you are sure that it is these kids - blow the hel_ out of the whistle. Another thing to do is to start hitting the phone on some thing - anything to make noise. Another trick is to just leave the phone and walk off for a while. These kids are just pushing your buttons and seeing how you react.
If all else fails, call the phone company and get an unlisted phone number!!!!!!

Go with Eye's answer. Also, you could keep a chart of all the times you've been called. Keep an accurate log of when the calls come in and you can give this to the police to search.

If they call again, just tell them you put a tracer on your phone. If they still call, then call your phone co and let them put it on.
