Hi Lindsey,
Get one that has 60 second heat up, you don't want to wait 10-15 minutes for it to heat up. Also, Auto shut off, in case you forget and leave it on, it will shut off by itself. Your parents will thank you. lol. It will say both of those things on the package. I like the 1" or 1 1/2" barrell, depending on how big you want your curl. The bigger the barrell the looser the curl.
Happy shopping! : )

I am not exactly what the brand name is but there is this one that is a straightner and curlying iron. the curling iron does both big and small curls and the straightner can straighnter both dry and wet hair. it works very well. I went to the mall and they had a person doing it for free. There is some kind of steam that comes out of it, that is just water making your hair very smooth and nice. I loved it. I havent got a chance to but it yet but I recommend you do. it great!

hmm. i would say ceramic. ionic. tourmaline.
look for one that says "even heat" on the package,
get one with a swivel cord, temperature dial instead of hi low and medium. that way you can control the heat easier.

also i would say get a heat protectant spray too.
and heat appliance will damage your hair without some
spray. VO5 makes a good one.

good luck =]

Buy one that uses steam... it makes beautiful curls that last all day.
