Homer is not the one we get our truth from, I agree the Simpsons are funny. And I do not spend half of sunday hearing about how I am going to hell, because guess what I am not going there- Jesus is my savior. Look to Jesus, not Homer

Rev. Lovejoy, is making to much emphasis on hell rather than teaching people how to have a relationship with God.
I would not sit in a church that all they preached about was people going to hell
a) how depressing
b) how defeating
c) do someting about it - empower your congregation to be a part of a change that helps people see Jesus and want to follow Him.

Desiree, when will you face the fact that your way isn't making you happy? You should take the time to find out what Jesus really means, while you still *have* the time. Even if you don't care about eternal life, wouldn't you love to leave all of your fear, anger, pain, bitterness, and loneliness behind you, once and for all? You can!

My friend said when she was a kid, her church had someone dress up like the devil and came running thru the church. She said it scared her so bad that she still has nightmares. Some churchs are so irresponsible. They're causing mental conditions.

Why not go to a different church?
(I was up til late last night reading Harry Potter too!)
Why not find a different church with a more positive message?
Good place to start:
http://www.hourofpower.org
they offer a positive message of God, and the power of positive thinking.

It is something I personally would like to know about. It would be really bad if you went through life without any choice.
