OK this is very simple; the mustang sucks soooooo bad because it is a car for people that want the so called "look" of a fast car, but really are too wimpy to drive over 90mph. It was originally built as a "secretary's" car, so it was never EVER designed originally as something that was supposed to be fast. Why do you think that that magazine is called "Mustangs AND Fast Fords? Think about it,lol. It is a slow, horribly built P.O.S that is made only for the weak of heart. Wanna-be's love this car, but it is most certainly sad that your local little old blue haird lady can dust any stang in her little Daiwoo Laganza. So, why do all mustangs suck??? The same reason why ALL FORDS suck- Ford doesn't know how to make cars. Oh- and for those of you morons out there that are thinking well what about the stang gt500, or the ford GT? I eat those every day with my bone stock 98 camaro z-28 LS-1. Ford has no excuses, after all they did make the mustang before the camaro came out. Yet they screwed the mustang up royally, and they still are, to this very day.

In case you didn't know, which I'm sure you didn't, Mustangs have been rated as the sportiest sports car of the year with very high quality by J D Powers and Associates. It is also the most popular car in the world. Could people please stop judging cars? I hate it when people always rant and rave about American cars, when their last one was in the 80's and 90's which were the worst times for auto makes, and always have something to criticise because they absolutely KNOW they are right an everybody is wrong. You have to be completely selfish to do this. Your opinion about something may be totally opposite to someone elses.

jmb162000 I highly doubt that you take on and beat Ford GT's and Shelby GT 500's with a bone stock 98 Camaro. You may be foolish enough to take them on, but as far as beating them you are probably one of those people who race someone and when that person slows down cause they consider the race to be over you zip past them and call it a victory. I have raced a lot of Z28's, newer ones and older ones, and they all seemed to have one thing in common. They lost, and not just by a little bit either, more like 1 to 2 seconds slower and they were even fixed up. So I have to call bulls*it on you saying you take on GT's and GT500's and whup them. The people that are in them probably dont know you are racing and they probably dont want to race even if they knew. I dont disagree that there are a lot of dumb drivers out there, but for everyone to say that its just Mustang drivers that are stupid lets look at every person who has a sports car and see if they havent caught themselves messing up as well. This is just a pissing match over who likes what vehicle manufacturer more. So in closing, instead of going to you tube and typing in things about just Mustangs, try it for all sports car makes and I bet you will see that there are more dumb drivers out there than just Mustang owners. Oh and for Mr. Z28, since you are such and awsome driver, get a video of you racing a Ford GT or GT500 and post it. I will be more than happy to eat my words if you beat them. But I think its a safe bet you wont.

I love Mustangs. I always have. I finally got one, an 08 V6 convertible, at 30 years old after driving a corolla for 12 years. The sad truth is the Corolla had higher top speed, and handled better and was easier to drive fast and accelerate. The corolla just had a zoom while the mustang is very heavy which makes it slow. You have to really floor it to accelerate quickly. There is no interior room which makes it uncomfortable to sit in for too long. It lacks features and feels very barebones. I would say the other poster is right that Ford doesn t know how to make cars, but that being said, I still like the car. it is fun to drive and own just not as a daily driver. I am wanting an 08 VW GTI or Audi Convertible. Or even an 05 Jetta, those cars are made very comfortable and fast.

Mustangs don't suck. I own a 1983 Mustang Convertable, and all I've performed is regular maintence and it runs like a dream.
Everyone loves them so much because they're nice looking cars, and they have one heck of a heritage behind them. After all, they are the longest running car line in America.

The Mustang GT is a very nice car. Its well built, nice looking, and has plenty of power.
V6 ones are all show and no go.

Ford stands for Fix Or Repair Daily. Not to knock Ford ( I had a 2002 gt coupe ) they are sporty cars for the price. But now i have a 2000 camaro SS and i will NEVER EVER drive another mustang. Sugar Land, TX... WestSouthWest of houston. 10 miles precisely. There are many very fast cars where i live. and my camaro does very well against stock Sti, Evo, but loses to Cobra mustangs. barley....

i have always sworn by Chevrolet but i have to admit lately I'm a little disappointed in there quality i was looking for a new toy and i went and drove a ws-6 firebird and SS comaro. both had really nice power but the quality wasn't there they seemed cheep and plastic and i was far from impressed, i did go drive and look over a new mustang GT though and i was highly impressed with the power and the quality, at least the arnt jap crap and will last more than two years before they go to the junk yard

It is not mustangs them selves that are bad, I drove one, and it was a good comfortable car (2006 mustang i rented for a week)
I think the problem is more the owners.

It's the drivers of Mustangs that suck, not the car. If you go on youtube and type in "mustang crash" or "mustang idiot" you can see for yourself. They just believe their car is a Ferrari.

I have never ben a Ford man... and never thought I would ever b one... but I have had experience with a 99 v-6 and an 06 v-6 and they both were very nice, good running, reliable cars.
