I'm on weight loss path that suggest a 1300 maximum calorie diet. Because of busy work days, and tiring workouts I'm not always hungry enough to eat that much. Sometimes I'm only eating 700 calories and burning 500 calories in a day. I heard that I have to eat more in order to lose weight. Is this true? How much do I have to make myself eat?

I haven't lost any weight in a few weeks, any suggestion is more than welcome.

Also I'm a vegetarian.

Thanks so much!

yes - you have to eat to lose fat otherwise all you will lose is gona be just water weight and muscle which means you will slow down your metabolism.
body needs 50cal/hour just for basic functioning (like when you are in coma) and thats 1200cal day -for a person under 150lbs. a person over 150lbs needs 70cal/hour.
find time to eat. you have to eat every 2-3 hours small meals to have a good metabolism. and to find out how many calories a day you actually need to lose weight (fat) find daily calories intake calculator on the net, enter your stats and when it shows your maintenance number take 300-500cal off and you will lose eating that much.

For any adult, the absolute minimum number of calories you should eat in a day is 1200. If you work out, eat more than that. Are you sure you burn off 500 calories a day? Sometimes calorie burning estimates are off on some of those machines are really off. If you need to increase your calories, do things like make oatmeal with milk instead of water, eat nuts, or increase your portion sizes.

I heard that anything below 1200 calories could be unhealthy. it really depends on if your getting all the right nutrition though... 1300 empty calories than you might start having problems. I would just take daily multivitamins as a precaution, and drink lots of water! I would say that with any diet though :)
