Love your enemies and show them Christlike love.
Luke 6:35-36 (New International Version)
35But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
Matthew 5:43-48 (New International Version)
Love for Enemies
43"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor[h] and hate your enemy.' 44But I tell you: Love your enemies[i] and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
h. Matthew 5:43 Lev. 19:18
i. Matthew 5:44 Some late manuscripts enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you

Christ is supposed to be God if one believes in the trinity. God is supposed to have given us the Ten Commandments one of which commands "Thou shalt not kill"! Christ said "Love your enemies and do good to those who persecute you." He also said that when struck on the cheek by another to "Turn the other cheek." and not hit back. Again he said to forgive another "Seventy times seven times." for wrongs done to you. He gave us two more commandments in addition to the first ten, which were to replace the words of the first Ten commandments but not their intent. The two are outlined in Matthew 22:34-40 of the New testament.
It is obvious from the history of the Christian religion (Indeed all religions which acknowledge the Bible as sacred) as well as present day actions that the followers have paid little attention to these maxims but have gone ahead and done whatever they jolly well please to their enemies.

It is the great irony of this planet that so much war, cruelty and misery have been propagated in the name of God.
Jesus recognized the immense worth of each human soul. I wonder if we ever will...
