they do not go about doing good as the Apostles did in the Acts?

Is it alright to go as far as repentance and baptism, marking Christianity as only a transcendential religion or should they also make Christianity relevent to the world, as seen through the suffering as the Apostles and others did.

The passage on Judgement of Nations seems to indicate action as the basis of enterring Kingdom of God without mention of faith although faith seems tied to it anyway.

This is a genuine question that I have to ask when I see many many Christians care only about being part of the faith through the "rituals" without practicing the faith. I do not see Jesus as one that only preached but also acted.

In essence, I am trying to say many Christians love Jesus Christ and only him without care for his or her neighbor - the very thing Jesus was trying to teach.

We are saved by grace, not by works, so that no one can boast.
We are saved by grace alone. Recall that in Acts 16:31 the jailer asked Paul and Silas how to be saved. They responded, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved." The jailer believed and immediately became saved.
Close to 200 times in the New Testament salvation is said to be by faith alone - with no works in sight. Consider the following:
John 3:15 tells us that "everyone who believes in him may have eternal life."
John 5:24 says, "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my words and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life."
In John 11:25 Jesus says, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies."
John 23:46 says, "I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness."
John 20:31 says, "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."
If salvation were not by faith alone, then Jesus' message in the Gospel of John - manifest in the above quotations - would be deceptive, stating that there is one condition for salvation when there are allegedly two - faith and works.
I must emphasize that we are saved by faith for works. Works are not the condition of our salvation, but a consequence of it We are saved not by works, but by the kind of faith that produces works.

Eph 2:8-10 God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can't take credit for this: It is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

The Lord himself indicated salvation comprises the two theory and baptism: "He that believeth and is baptized would be saved; yet he that believeth no longer would be damned." (Mark sixteen:sixteen). The early church observed to it that believers have been baptized fairly quickly, as we see in numerous places in Acts. relating to the baptisms by making use of John the Baptist, Jesus reported, "John did baptize interior the desert, and carry forth the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins." (Mark a million:4) Jesus did no longer condemn or disparage this baptism of repentance. it extremely is an significant step Salvation is by making use of God's grace. The sacraments -- alongside with baptism -- are the approach by making use of which God's grace is imparted to us materially. We have self assurance by making use of God's grace, and we are baptized to obtain God's grace. do no longer attempt to parse the words to heavily with a view to coach a doctrinal component. Your salvation could actually be at stake. Obedience is a area a salvation, too, as we see interior the judging of the sheep and goats Matt 25:31-40 six. Obey the Lord and the apostles and the consistent coaching of the early church; be baptized. Or mess around, and discover out in case you have "tempted the Lord" and lost. no longer well worth a doctrinal component. reward. /Orthodox

If a person is truly a born-again child of God; which takes place only when one is washed in the blood of Jesus, after repenting of their sin, and asking Him to come into their heart by faith; they are going to be a new person according to the Word of God. They will not only have faith in God, but they will also have new desires in their heart; and those desires will be to be a servant for God, and to be obedient unto Him in every way. God's Word teaches us that we must not only have faith, but we must also put our faith into action, in whatever way that God leads us to do so.

I don't believe baptism is needed for salvation. Look at the thief on the cross He only believed and Jesus said today will I see you in paradise. Luke 23: 39-43

Repented and baptized Christians will enter the Kingdom of God if their repentance if genuine. There are no other REQUIREMENTS, only serious but non-binding expectations of how a repented Christian is supposed to act. But if your confession is genuine then you would want to do what is expected according to Scripture.

To make it to Heaven and miss Hell you only need to get Born-Again (Saved), by Asking Jesus to Save you.

Entering the Kingdom of GOD is not "Going to Heaven" it is something Else Entirely.

Repeat: Entering the Kingdom of GOD---Is NOT Making it to Heaven.

You can Make it to Heaven WITH OUT EVER Entering the Kingdom of GOD.

Baptism is the first step of Salvation. Salvation is a lifelong process - not an event.

Evidence of our faith in Christ is our works. But the Bible tells us that if our works fail us on judgment day, our faith will still save us.

There is more to being a Christian than Baptism and a few Ritualistic Events as you call them. To begin with, To become a Christian, we are told that we must HEAR the WORD in John 6:45, Jesus said, “It is written in the prophets, And they shall all be taught by God. Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.” We are also told so in Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. We are told the we must BELIEVE in Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. We are also told so in Mark 16:16, Jesus said “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” and in John 5:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. We are told that we must REPENT (or turn from sin) in Luke 13:3 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Also in Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent. We are told to CONFESS CHRIST in Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. We are also told in 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. We are to be BAPTIZED according to Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” and Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. We are to CONTINUE to be FAITHFUL UNTIL DEATH according to Revelation 2:10c Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. We also know that Paul wrote in Romans 14:12 each of us shall give account of himself to God. It is important that we not ignore what is written, change what is written, or add to what is written in the New Testament. It is our Christian Guide. Have a great week!
