Female shih-tsu, 15 lbs. We were gone and she went into the pantry and retrieved a box of Betty Crocker Brownie mix, opened it, ate all the mix and the all chocolate fudge syrup.

So...
(A) Take her to the vet! She's gonna die!
(B) Put the brownies up higher next time.
(C) You are so cruel to your dog, you shouldn't have one!
(D) They say chocolate is bad for dogs, but the dog disagrees.

Or an essay will be fine.

My dog (see picture!) has so far eaten:

1) A whole 100g bar of green and blacks 85% chocolate (which the vet did give her morphine to make her sick) (she hates the vet now!)
2) A 200g box of Famous Names chocolate liqueures (another trip to the vet, but not a harmful dose, only the runs for a couple of days, and a drunk staffie!)
3) Quarter of a small pack of polly filler (she was fine, although someone suggested to aims her bum at the ceiling to use it for artexing!)
4) countless biros, marker pens, letters, newspapers.

She is currently sitting at my feet chewing her nylabone quite happily!!!

But on a serious note, the vets have a formula which is based on the weight of your dog, the weight of the chocolate consumed, and the % cocoa in the chocolate, I would ring the Vet just to be on the safe side!

I had an 8 pound Rat terrior that did this with a 1 lb bag of M&M's. She had the runs from hell for 2-3 days but was fine after that. I think that the idea of chocolate being bad for dogs is more than likely meant on a regular basis. One time shouldn't hurt the little guy. By the way, my little terrior lived to the ripe old age of 22 years with no other problems than cancer at the very end. In the end though I would have to go with "B" by putting the brownie mix up a little higher and don't be so rough on yourself. These little guys can be quite a hand full at times. Good luck with the little crapper!

I would say B. It's spelled Shih Tzu. My uncle's dog that ran away ate a whole plate of brownies and it didn't hurt. She also ate a container of Swiss Rolls so your dog has to be fine.

Even though Mojo was a lab that was mixed with something with short legs I think it should be fine.

No she will not die but she may pueke it up and have diaria for awhile.
Do put the brownies up higher next time
The 3rd choice is boguss Yes you can and may have a dog and no you were cruel to him.
And the 4th choice is true. They only really like it because they're not supposed to have it.

Next time also leave her in a restricted area or an kennel.

LOLOLOL!! If she does not act sick, she will be fine. By all means put the brownies up higher next time. In the meantime, as long she feels fine, I hope she enjoyed the brownies! Milk chocolate is diluted with milk so not nearly as toxic. Dark chocolate can poison dogs. That is a proven fact but I also know of dogs who've done similar things to what yours did and they are fine. Mine love chocolate too but I don't give it to them because it's not worth the risk. They do love it though.

Just keep an eye on her and call the vet if she starts acting sick. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry.

She is not going to die, but she will likely get really sick. My min pin (9 pounds) ate an entire box of oreo cookies once, and my pomeranian (6 pounds) ate a box of valentine's day chocolates. In both cases they threw up a lot for a couple days and had nasty diarrhea.
Yes, chocolate is bad for the dogs, and yes, dogs love the chocolate. So. . . put the brownies p higher next time. In the mean time, watch your dog and make sure she doesn't do anything out of the ordinary besides puke and poop. She may get a little shaky because the chocolate is hard on their hearts, but it will pass through her system and she'll be ok.

A. Call the vet and ask them. They'll probably recommend to take her to the vet because chocolate is bad for them and large dose can be fatal. Definitely take her down there and make sure the brownies are up higher next time and to keep your pantry closed tight. Hope she pulls through

A

you are not cruel, but you have learned a lesson - dogs will get into things that they shouldn't - just like children. Put it up higher, but take your dog to the vet!

Milk chocolate HAS theobromine in it (not as much as baker's chocolate as previously mentioned - but your dog is very small, and the amount ingested is of a concernable level)

I would say if she's not sick she might be fine. Chocolate mixes are not as harmful as pure dark chocolate. Some dogs have no symptoms at all. If she gets sick in any way take her to the vet Immediately

Definetly B. Brownies don't contain enough of the deadly chemical in them to kill your dog. Pure cocoa beans or even cocoa powder could have, but the milk chocolate in Betty Crocker should pass. It could get messy, but your baby shouldn't die.

Probably won't die but she will most likely have a very upset stomach and diarrhea. Choice A might be needed, B goes without saying, C depends on whether you are cruel or not, D is true no matter what the dog says. No essay. :)
