It means that we live to glorify God. That is man's chief purpose...to extol Him. And in that, others will praise God as well because of what He did for us. His grace is just one of many reasons for us to glorify Him. Isn't it interesting that this phrase is mentioned three times in Ephesians 1? It reminds one of God, the Father; God, the Son; and God, The Holy Spirit.

The believer's actions, as well as his words, declare the praises of Divine mercy. (Eph 1:9-14)
In other words when one has faith one does good works and that shines upon Jesus's glory, and His mercy on us. The more good works that we do the more mercy we recive and His glory shines upon us

To the praise of the glory of his grace: 'glory of his grace', is a usual Hebraism, for glorious grace, i.e. large, abundant, admirable.
God chose His elect, and therein manifested his grace to them, and that in itself, when acknowledged; causes praise and adoration from them.
