Sometimes their ears just don't stand. I have one who is three years old. The breeder told us that their ears would go up when he was done teething (not sure why) but his never did. We like them just the same, except the are a pain to keep clean.
Our other yorkie is 6 months. We got him at 3 months and they were pointing straight up.
Some yorkies do not have their ears cropped properly (or they just have big ears) so they do not stand. It's character and I wouldn't mess with it unless it just really bothers you. If it does, consult your vet.
Enjoy your new baby!

I'm deal with the Yorkie breed among other breeds. Some Yorkshire Terriers ears don't stand and therefore you must follow these simple steps.Hold your Yorkie in your lap and place your thumb inside of the ear and the rest of your fingers around the back part of the ear.Put a little pressure on your thumb and push up to the top of the ear, repeating several times on each ear.You must do this about three times a day and soon you will see the ears start standing.Guess you could say some Yorkies ears need a little messaging in order to make them perfect.Hope this helps.

If she does not have cartilage damage, they will most likely stand before too long. Make sure she is on a good quality dog food.
Also, you might call or write her breeder to find out around what age the parents ears stood up.
Some take longer than others. Most quality breeders are more than happy to help with that type of information about their dogs. You might also ask if their dogs need assistance with ears standing or are most natural.
Enjoy your new puppy!

IWell, if youre American you can chop lumps off your dogs ears and/or tail - that seems to be the tradition in the United States. In most countries where they respect the rights of animals, it would get you a fine or jail.
So what if its ears arent standing - what difference does it make to the dog, let alone to you? Its a baby. Leave the poor creature to develop as nature intended.

Some do and some don't. It is possible to tape them to encourage them to stand, but it might not work. Find an experienced vet or breeder as if done incorrectly can cause ear damage.

If your puppys parents ear stand up , his should too. You can try clipping the hair off of his ears. Sometimes this will make them stand up faster. Please don't tape the ears, you can cause more harm then good.

Try feeding them cottage cheese. That's supposed to be excellent for ear cartilage. That's what a friend of mine had given her chihuahua for their ears.
