Because the Muslims in the West are free to express their opinions and Beliefs in a more relevant, personal way than they are under the totalitarian rule of the Mullahs and other clergy of the Islamic Nations. There ARE rational Muslims THERE as well but they need to be quiet about it there, or face the wrath of the fundamentalists.

Because they want you to believe that Islam is a peaceful religion, when really it is just the WEST which is a peaceful place to practice Islam. Islam, according to the Quran is a violent religion spread by force. Just read it and see. There is a standing order for all Muslims to kill infidels indefinitely, (I guess until there are only Muslims left alive on earth.) You don't find such a standing order in the bible.

The right to keep and bear arms comes to mind. Few states save for Illinois and Pennsylvania have draconian gun laws, so most Americans are armed who wish to be. Few radical Muslims in my neighborhood would be able to pull off anything without coming away looking like a piece of Swiss cheese before the cops and EOD even had to hit the scene.

I don't know. But actions speak louder than words. Those claiming that Islam is a "religion of peace" have little credibility when hundreds, perhaps thousands of their fellow Muslims are committing daily acts of violence and oppression in the name of Islam.

Alas too many who purport to be followers of Islam are two faced. They speak peace on the one hand and then blow you up! They have divided loyalties, esp in Iraq. A guy could be a policeman, and a bomber!

First, who's News do you mean?
Are you referring to the same News Media that meekly beat the drums of war without any serious checking of sources?
And before anyone uses the whole liberal media thing remember, the Media is only as "Liberal" as the conservative companies who own them.
As with all extremists from all religions, they are the ones making the news, not the folks who just want to be allowed to worship in peace
