In most jurisdictions:

Graduate from college and receive a BA or BS: from 3-6 years;

Go to law school and graduate: 2.5 to 4 years.

Get your JD!

Congrats!

A normal law school program runs three years for a full-time student. Although, if you do a more specialized kind of law (i.e.: corporate, business, tax, etc.) it may take four. Remember, this is in addition to earning your Bachelor's degree. So you're looking at 7 years+ of school if you're going to go straight through.

Check out the colleges in your area. If that school offers a law program it'll be listed there.

If you're going to go law go big. Get your Doctor of Juridical Science from Harvard Law School. I'm pretty sure you will be successful if you have one of those pieces of paper. Of course you are looking at about 10 years of schooling.

Good luck!

Three years full-time, four years part-time. Cut off one semester if you do summer school, making it 2.5 years (5 semesters plus 2 half-semesters) full time.

That's the ABA standard which is what's required for most states to sit for their bar, and is after you get your bachelors.

About three years, but its all a matter of what classes you take. I did mine in 2 and a half but it can go as long as four. Good luck. If you want help- email me
