He's a a mighty proud fighter. And his pride was his downfall. He didn't anticipate Nonito's moves and kind of underestimated him (looking at his body movements). So yeah he just got the beating he deserves.

Go Filipinos!!

Well I still thnk Vic Darchinyan is a great and entertaining fighter. I agree it was overconfidence that led to his downfall. As I watched his earlier fights I often said "Man this guy is wide open...no defense" Yet he still overpowered and dominated his opponents. Hopefully this will be a wake up call and he will work on this and become an even better fighter. He didn't have to get any better before because no one scouted him well enough or had the timing or ability to expose him.

This reminds me of when Lennox Lewis met Oliver McCall. It was a simple exploitation of a weakness. Lewis then watched the tape and Emmanuel Lewis became his new trainer and worked hard and made him almost invincible. I hope Darchinyan is able to do the same he is great for the sport of boxing as he is very entertaining. He looks for a knock out no matter what even after winning 11 rounds against an undefeated boxer. Overcoming losses make good fighters great. Ali became great when he overcame Norton and Frazier. It is still early in Vic's career I hope there is a lot more to come.

I've seen that Darchinyan fight a few times and I knew eventually someone would beat his a s s. He throws puches like he has no regard for other fighters thinking he is just going to go through everybody with his power. I'm glad someone proved technique and skill is better, that was a perfect short counter left on the chin.

He is an arrogant, ignorant, big-mouth boxer from Down Under.
I'm just glad what Donaire done to him. Nonito Donaire exposed what an over-rated boxer this Darchinyan is. He better return to Armenia.

i think vic will be back and more determined, but now he knows he can be hurt .i think he knows he has to pick up a few more boxing skills and hes not going to walk through every opponent and knock them out.i think donaire is an exceptional fighter and vics next opponents will try to copy donaires fight plan and get knocked out anyway.vic maybe predictable but just knowing what he is going to do doesnt mean you can stop him from doing it.i think vic will get back to the top ,maybe donaire has his number but other fighters will find it difficult copying his success.

Vic darchinyan needs to work on his defence when throwing a punch.

He's overrated. When fighters with no technique step in the ring, they will always be beaten by fighters with great skill. He's another Naseem Hamed. Guy like them will never be great fighters.

i think his overwhelming power gave him a false sense of invincibility. this might actually help him(though i hope not.cant stand him)
