I want to know the book that has a description of what Jesus looked like. Did it blatantly say he was white or black. Are readers assuming he was black or white. Also isn't it blasphemy to portray a picture of what Jesus looks like if he is the son of God. If my question is ignorant I'm sorry, I'm just trying to figure out something and I'm not your going to church every Sunday individual.

The Bible never gives any physical description of Christ. The closest thing we get to a description is in Isaiah 53:2b, “He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him, nothing in His appearance that we should desire Him.” All this tells us is that Jesus’ appearance was just like any other man's – He was ordinary-looking. Isaiah was here prophesying that the coming suffering Servant would arise in lowly conditions and wear none of the usual emblems of royalty, making His true identity visible only to the discerning eye of faith.

Isaiah further describes the appearance of Christ as He would appear as He was being scourged prior to His crucifixion. “His appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and his form marred beyond human likeness” (Isaiah 52:14). These words describe the inhuman cruelty He suffered to the point that He no longer looked like a human being (Matthew 26:67; 27:30; John 19:3). His appearance was so awful that people looked at Him in astonishment.

Jesus is Jewish and from Israel, but that does not mean His skin was dark complected as the people who live there now.

Israel was forested almost like parts of
Canada in Jesus's time not open and bare to the sun as it is today.

Most of the images we have of Jesus today are probably not accurate. Jesus was a Jew, so He likely had dark skin, dark eyes, and dark hair. This is a far cry from the blond-haired, blue-eyed, fair-skinned Jesus in many modern pictures. One thing is clear: if it were important for us to know what He really did look like, Matthew, Peter and John, who spent three years with Him, would certainly be able to give us an accurate description, as would His own brothers, James and Jude. Yet, these New Testament writers offer no details about His physical attributes.

Interesting discussion... The description of Jesus in Isaiah 53:2 indicates there was nothing in his physical appearance that made him stand out from other Jewish men of that time.

All throughout the Old Testament, men were always creating and worshiping images. This is one reason, imho, that we are not given much in the way of a physical description of Jesus.

That said, there is another description of Jesus given in Rev. 1 that is awe inspiring if one can picture it in their mind's eye.

Jesus the Son of Man has strong body capable to carry a heavy cross (sins of the world) even after extreme pain of scourging and much blood loss. He has curly long white hair like the Lamb of God for He is a Nazarite. His hands and arms were rugged being the son of a carpenter and his countenance was amiable beyond description radiating the love of our heavenly Father.

Q: Which part of the Bible gives a physical description of Jesus?

A: For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. - Isaiah 53:2,3.

Q: Also isn't it blasphemy to portray a picture of what Jesus looks like if he is the son of God?

A: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: - Exodus 20:4.

There are no descriptions in the New Testament regarding Jesus Christ’s physical attributes like hair and eye color, race, or height. Whatever information now going around about his physical features were from historical writings from the first century. One description of Jesus is found in “The Archko Volume” (translated by Drs. McIntosh and Twyman) which contains official court documents from the days of Jesus, This information substantiates that He came from racial lines which had blue eyes and golden hair. One chapter describes his appearance:
"I asked him to describe this person to me, so that I might know him if I should meet him. He said: 'If you ever meet him [Yeshua] you will know him. While he is nothing but a man, there is something about him that distinguishes him from every other man. He is the picture of his mother, only he has not her smooth, round face. His hair is a little more golden than hers, though it is as much from sunburn as anything else. He is tall, and his shoulders are a little drooped; his visage is thin and of a swarthy complexion, though this is from exposure. His eyes are large and a soft blue, and rather dull and heavy....' This Jew [Nazarite] is convinced that he is the Messiah of the world. ...this was the same person that was born of the virgin in Bethlehem some twenty-six years before..."

Jesus was a Jew, so we can figure that he was dark skinned as the Jewish people are.
Jesus said that blessed are those who believe in him even though they have not seen him.
There is scripture describing him, though. It's in the Old Testament.
Read Isaiah 52:14 and Isaiah 53:2

We don't have much to go by for a physical description of Jesus. It's not wrong to try to picture Him in your mind if you want to focus on Him.
