You will have to clean the kittens ears first. Veterinarians often recommend using white vinegar (also called acetic acid), because it removes dirt and debris and helps restore a healthy chemical balance in the ears.
Using a small amount of diluted vinegar (using either a 1:1 ratio or 1 part vinegar to 2 parts of water 1:2 ratio) pour into the ear canal, massage the area, then gently wipe the inside of the ear with a cotton ball.
Only clean the area of the ears that you can see.
After that the home remedy for ear mites calls for three to six drops of almond oil or olive oil in each ear canal. This will smother the mites and may allow the infection to heal. You will need to continue the oil treatments for three to four weeks, by putting three to six drops of oil into the ear canals each day. Be patient and thorough. Treatments can take up to four weeks because you have to eliminate any eggs that might hatch.
Hope I helped!

There is no home remedy for ear mites, but there are several inexpensive methods of treating them that can be purchased through your local veterinarian. First make sure your kitten truly has ear mites. Although this is one of the most common causes of ear problems in kittens, there are other possiblities. Take her to the vet as a new kitten should always get a physical and vaccination as well as testing for Feline Leukemia and FIV, and you can get her ear mites treated at the same time.

Revolution cures ear mites. You might be able to find it at a pet store. But it is actually only supposed to be sold by veterinarians, so you might have to go to your vet to get it. It works great. It is a topical that you place on the skin on the back of your kittens neck that prevents fleas, heartworms, ear mites, and some intestinal parasites. Each application lasts one month. Just be sure to get the correct size for you kitten, it is based on weight.

que tip to clean out most of the black (which are the mites). Use the over the counter mite drops. The newest variety requires one treatment per week which is more effective. Read the instructions. When the medication is working it will drive the kitty nuts because of the mites running amoke inside ear & dying.

Over the counter remedies from the pet store and used as directed are effective and safe. Also, Frontline will work. Put a drop at the base of each ear, the rest on the back of the neck as directed.

frontline, advantage, etc. They all will work.
Most other remedies are not very effective and can hurt the soft lining of the kitten ears. Just watch the dosage carefully.

You can soak a cotton ball with mineral oil and swab the ear canal. This will help for now, but it is best to have your kittens treated by your vet as well. All the best;~)

Unfortonatly no. Take your kitten to the vet. They give you these ear drops. It's not very exspensive. If the brown stuff shows up it his/her ears clean it out with a q-tip.

Wesson corn oil. A few drops. Get kittens used to this and it will be possible to do when they're adults.
