1. take a REALLY hot bath
2. drink a warm glass of milk
3. watch a BIT of tv
4. sleep with a warm blanket
(if it's a hot day, put on the AC, then sleep with warm blanket)
5. if this doesn't work, sooner or later, you'll fall asleep

I have this problem. I've even tried Lunesta, with no help. My Family Doctor told me to try a dietary supplement call Melatonin. I use 1/4 of a 3 mg tablet. I sleep like a baby.

I had this same problem, what i did was take some sleeping pills the at the same time every night for a week, and then lay down, then stopped taking them after a week and I'm good now. try and get in to a bed time routine, its a way of telling your body to sleep now. best of luck

if you cant sleep than get your self tired by running or reading a boring long book ( finish it) and then if that doesnt work then maybe there is something on your mind if there is, try to find the solution but dont take pills bc even if that gets you to sleep pills are the worst

trying taking a hot bath 1 hour before going to sleep then settle down with a good book and that should help

One sure fire way to get to sleep is soothing foods that are warm like soup. Tea and hot chocolate work for me too. Sometimes I have to turn off all the lights and make myself go. . .but the meal helps.

Take an OTC like Tylenol PM or Simply sleep. If that doesn't work see your Dr.

Do something really exausting before going to sleep.. you'll be dead tired when you get to bed. Like go jogging before bed.
