If this is humour of Eve eating the fobidden fruit then the Bible doesn't actually specify what the type of fruit from the tree of knowledge is. All it mentions about it is that it looked desirable to Eve. It is likely to of been a one of a kind tree as God said any other tree they could eat from and apple trees would not of been exempt.

It was fruit. no where in the bible does it say it was an apple.
Genesis 3:3
but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "
and the reason it wasnt a muffin is because they couldnt cook, they ate what grew. Veggies and fruit was about it.
