So my doctor said I need to loose weight. All he said was to workout, and decrease my eating a little bit by decreasing my insulin since insulin drives your hunger. I've done it, but it's not working. Is there any good, healthy, beneficial ways to loose the weight? What are the benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar? Does anyone know any "cheap" ways to loose the excess weight and how? Please feel free to tell me your SUCCESSFUL experiences!

Okay, lets start with some good solid fundamentals.

1. High protien and lower carbs in the morning is a necessity. I generally eat a Protien Plus Power bar for breakfast. It is 300 calories and over half the calories are from protien. This fills me up all morning. It also doens't cause the sugar/insulin/hunger cycle to occur. So that when lunch comes, I'm not famished, just tolerably hungry.

2. Drink water only in the morning. Give up the coke or the cofee that you you think that you need. You will find with a higher protien breakfast, that you don't need the caffine to bring you up from the sugar crash from breakfast.

3. At lunch have something that includes the greens that you need for the day. They tend to be lower calorie, lower in carbs, and have the fiber that you need. Again, stick with water here. (No diet soda doesn't count) Also have some protien. Usually I will eat a hamberger and a salad or some vegetable medley. Don't worry about the collesterol, if you keep your sugars down, you body will process the fat correctly. Every bit of insulin that you take pushes your body to go into fat storage mode.

3. Dinner. Have a good dinner. Again, watch the total sugar intake. I love brats, steak, salmon, steelhead and eat as much of it as I feel comfortable with. (That usually is one to 1.5 servings) with a salad and some vegetables.

4. A small afternoon snack is ok. (SMALL)

What to avoid - Bread, pasta, soda, juice, anything that turns into a high volume of sugar. Remember that all carbohydrates end up as one kind of sugar or another in your blood stream. Since you have to use insulin to control these and this leads to fat formation, just avoid them. That doesn't mean you can never have them, just know that if you do it will require more working out to get the calories gone.

Last but not least, get out and do some form of exercise that raises your pulse to 110-120 for 30 minutes 2-3 times a week.

Doing this I have lost 6 pounds in 6 weeks. That may not sound like much, but I'm only looking to shed about 15 pounds that I put on from my hypoglycemia kicking back in again after 20 years. My issues are essentially the same as yours since any extra carbos lead to excessive short term insulin. Mine is just made by me, yours is from the needle.

The exercise also made me feel a hundred times better when I did it in the morning before work. I had a better day all the way around from it.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

My husband is diabetic.

The program we have both found successful is Herbalife.

Here is what happened for us:
I was significantly overweight and unable to lose weight just by cutting back on how much I ate. I also was fatigued all the time.

The first day I used Herbalife products, I felt a major difference. My energy increased tremendously, I was not hungry, and I felt more alive. I also lost weight the very first day, and then, continued to lose weight.

Now, my energy level is very good every day. I also have been able to stop two medications I have taken for years – I simply don’t need them anymore. I seldom have cravings for food.

The best part is that I lost 20 pounds and 19 inches in just the first six weeks on the program, and I continue to steadily lose both weight and inches. I am very excited about my progress and I feel so much better about myself.

My husband is also on the program and has lost even more weight than I have. But, the best thing for him has been the change in his ability to focus. His mental clarity is vastly improved and he is motivated to get things accomplished. He is like a new man!!

Being diabetic, we had concerns about his using the program - but Herbalife has a product that helps keep the blood sugar even over a period of time. It is called Snack Defense. It has worked for him, and the advanced programs also given plenty of room for high protein snacks.

If you're interested, check out the programs at rNutritionMall.net or www.rNutrition.net.

There are products to help that will fit in every budget.

Best of luck!!

I started drinking it about 5 days ago. I have 2 tablespoons with about 3/4 cups of orange juice after each meal. I use it to help with my digestion which has helped greatly. I have not experience any bloating after eating which I always did. It has also helped with my bowel movement which I am back to a daily schedule. I just use the the brand from my local store but I will look into GNC or Mothers once this bottle is gone.

Best of luck !

P.S. I use a straw because I don't want all the acid on my teeth. Also, no change in my eating habits.

Hi Kat Y

Vitamin D deficiency is emerging as a culprit in many diseases.

Did you know there's a connection between Vitamin D deficiency and obesity AND between Vitamin D deficiency and diabetes 1 & 2?

You might consider taking supplements. Obesity prevents you from getting as much Vitamin D from the sun as people of normal weight. And like most people, you've probably been scared out of the sun and don't get enough anyway.

In North America you can only get enough Vitamin D from the sun about 3 months of the year and supplements are recommended (experts recommend from about 1000 IU to 4000 IU of D3/day with the optimal tested level between 75-100nmol/L).

So, there you have it! Cheap and healthy!

Good luck!
