Use ordinary eye drops to flush out the chemicals. Place cold towels across your closed eyes for fifteen minutes, several times throughout the night. You really shouldn't be reading. That's too much stress on the eyes At this time. It sounds like you have an allergic reaction to the chemicals in the pool. If you don't feel better by tomorrow see an ophthalmologist.

um, eye drops? And make sure you use goggles next time. Your pool might have un balanced chemicals. I open my eyes under watter when I swim and I swim for like 1-4 hours in a day and my eyes are just fine, not even a little red o_o

Besides the at home remedies that have been given if the condition gets worse you may need to see an optometrist. they may need to make sure that you do not have a bacterial infection which would require you to get antibiotic eye drops to treat it. if after resting your eyes and placing some over the counter eyes drops in them, the issue doesn't get better see an optometrist.

Clear eyes is good and so is Visine. Some people are sensitive to one or the other product, so until you try them you won't know. As a kid with a pool, we had both products in our house....
