Humans chop down a forest.
The organisms eating and living in the vegetation die off.
As a result of interdependence, all organisms that consume those that died off also die off or are forced to adapt or change their niche.

Also if said humans chose to build a factory where the forest once was, the factory would release gasses that are bad for the air and the ecosystem. This would also affect all the remaining plants since many plants depend on the levels of certain gasses or chemicals in the air for survival.

Example:
An animal that eats a bird would be affected if the bird that it eats died off since there are no more grubs for that bird to eat because a human chopped down a forest of trees that grubs live in.

The coral reefs are being destroyed thus the fish that normally live there and breed there no longer have a place to go.

The factory fishing boats take all the fish in a given area and they destroy all the fish they don't want depleting the entire ecosystem in a given area.

One example: Off the coast of California it has been illegal to harm or kill pinnipeds,(i think that's right spelling) or sea lions, sea elephants,seals,etc... Now we have an enormous amount of large pinniped rookeries,or communities along our coast. These animals eat fish. As the fish have become depleted fisherman ,of course have been cut off from many fishing grounds. With depth limits etc...Now large sharks eat pinnipeds so the shark population has grown.you see the domino effect from the protection of pinnipeds, without limit. Also fisherman have suffered(employment).

I don't really think that we do as we are animals like everything else and what we do is part of the ecosystem because of our evolution and brain size.

Example:
>Lions eat Buffalo. They are there for using the ecosystem and are therefore part of it.Nobody says anything.
>Humans eat fish.We are using the ecosystem and therefore part of it.People Say we over fish.
>What would happen if lion populations grew more, they would be overbufferlowing. It is part of evolution and the path of life.
