Why were Jews the ones used as the scapegoat in the Holocaust?

Jewish people aren't known to be a drain on the economy [this is a prejudiced argument justifying the mistreatment of black people in the US and south asian people in the UK] many of them are professors, doctors, scientists; and they haven't be known to engage in terrorism here.

Physically they look more like white people [skin colour is a horrible reason to discriminate against people] but I'm saying I don't see what discriminatory grounds are used to justify anti-Semitism.

So why the Jews?

inat, your site is propaganda and is another form of "blaming the victim" bigotry .

Your site concludes:
"The solution to anti-Semitism is exactly the same as the cause: It is Jewish values and beliefs that cause anti-Semitism, and it will be Jewish values and beliefs that ultimately will eliminate anti-Semitism.

The message that the Jews bear is the recipe for conquering evil. The more effectively Jews transmit their special message, the closer they come to making a holocaust – whether aimed against Jews or against any other group – impossible."

Other than radicals like skinheads and such I don't see any anti-Semitism in the west.

There are a lot of interesting books on this---
one is---
Hitler's Willing Executioners: Ordinary Germans and the Holocaust
by Daniel Jonah Goldhagen

As to discrimination, competition, hate, etc., there really doesn't need to be obvious differences between groups---often the most brutal hatred exists between very "like" ethnic groups of people, who find some excuse (such as religious ritual---for example the Sunnis and Shiites that are killing each other in Iraq) to wipe out a neighboring group. The more similar peoples are, the more basis there is for competition over scarce goods---it's an "us" versus "them" mentality, even if you and them are almost identical. Survival is a battle for existence, and it's blind---nothing matters except your survival, and if the conditions are right, everyone's an enemy. The German Nazis were very organized--they were proud of what they did, and recorded it minutely for posterity. They were mechanized, efficient, but also insane. Civilization is fine on the surface, but underneath it all is a fight for survival.

Years ago I asked a Catholic anti-Semite this question. She ask me if I'd known any Jews. I told her no so she said I didn't know them well enought to understand why they should be hated. Since then I try to be extra friendly when I meet Jewish people so I can get to know them and now I have quite a few Jew friends. My Maid of Honor at my wedding 14 years ago was Jewish and she is still my best friend.

I still don't know them well enough to know why I should hate them but I'll keep trying.

Blessed Be!

There always has to be someone to be blamed for the ills of society.

Take Britain. Today it is the asylum seekers (especially muslims) and the Poles. Before them it was the blacks and the "Pakis". Before them it was the Irish, and before the Irish it was the Jews.

This has been common across other countries. Germany faced serious economic problems in the 1920s and had been humiliated by the war (they hadn't been invaded). It was easy for the Nazis to pin blame on the Jews, they were "war profiteers" or were responsible for the German decision to surrender etc. Of course leaping from bitterness to wanting to exterminate is hard to explain.

Well...all I can say is that the Holocaust was orchistrated by one of the worst mad-men in the world (I'm a quarter Jew, so I know...) and that he was at least part-Jewish (I believe his father was a Jew...I'm not sure...) anyway, he just used them as a scapegoat because somehow he started to hate the Jews...that's why it's like that.

You need to contrast the small minority of Humans in the West who say they "hate the Jews" with the larger majority who say they they love all people EQUALLY as God and Jesus, One in Spirit here, do Teach !

The recent problem is neo-con "zionism" where a few elitists think they can take over the world for a "chosen-people". That has caused much backlash, especially in Europe and in Arab countries.

When all Humans better follow Jesus in Spirit (not just in mind) they will slowly learn the great benefits of daring to
"Love your enemies" They will be on the Mansion Worlds made by Jesus with us soon ! There you will learn to know and love them more as we all continue to:

"Be you perfect; even as I AM perfect" What a loving invitation-command from our Master Jesus and our God !

Peace and progress,
Brother Dave, a Jesusonian

It all stems from the early Christian churches blaming the Jews for crucifying Jesus. In the middle ages, they were the scapegoats for everything else the managers of society of the time couldn't hide, and it just went on from there. The fact that they separate themselves from the rest of society as a race just adds fuel to the fire.

Jewish are hard working people, and like to save for the family's future...so don't be surprised if you see a lot of jews in the movie business, jewelry, banks, scientists and by the way, the highest inteligence known to mankind.

Some of your statements are suspect as to what you are after or believe. Especially since Jews are of all different "skin types" and nationalities.
Just in case I missinterpreted what you were saying...
The spirit of antichrist will always attack God's chosen people and that is what you saw in the holocost.
In the end it will be both Jews and Christians that are attacked. They will be blamed for all of the worlds problems. You can already see those flames being fanned to life.

I disagree. The Jews were not used as scapegoats. They were victims along with countless other peoples. There were just more Jews involved. That because of their wealth. As God blesses them the Gentile world looks on in jealousy.
God saw it coming and it will get worse not better until the whole world turns on Israel. As a Christian I won't be here thank you Jesus.
Just remember God promised to bless those who bless Israel one of the reasons we in America are so blessed. He also promised to curse those who curse Israel.
Better to respect her and watch prophesy open up there.
God Bless!

I don't see as there's much anti-semitism in the west. Maybe you should consider how much there is in the Middle east. The west - particularly among Christians - are friendly to Jews
