It would be truly comical except that they do kill each other over it.
I know of no way to get them to realize that they just might be wrong. Common sense isn't all that common.

Here is a question to think about that may have you broadening your beliefs in numerous gods.
If Christians are wrong about salvation and heaven/hell, what is the result when they die? They tried to live a good life (to emulate Jesus Christ) and continued to have hope even during times of strife. They believed that they had a "relationship" with their God that was like having an "invisible friend". They believed that they always had someone that wanted the best for them.
So when they die, and if they are wrong about God, they are just dead. Right? It was a good run and likely fun and fulfilling.
However, if Christians are RIGHT, then what happens to the rest of the world that thinks they are wrong? If Christians are right, it really doesn't matter what you do here, no matter how kind, how thoughtful or how often you do nice things. The outcome is still the same.
Christians seem to have a fairly simple and painless solution to salvation. You just accept Jesus Christ as your savior. Admit that you are a sinner and believe in the death and Resurrection of Christ.
I don't know about everyone else, but I am thinking I would rather just be WRONG and dead than wrong and in HELL!

enlightenment and everlasting life are two different things; and enlightenment can be relative, the point where you may think that you have reached enlightenment is different to my point of reaching enlightenment etc.
We can all learn from eachother but people DONT want to learn.
Can I ask why you're wasting your energy asking such a complicated question to which no one really knows the answer?

Most people don't kill each other over religion. Maybe Muslims do. What I find irritating is people who think it is their business what the beliefs of others are. Kind of like you. Since when did you become the thought police?

I find people like that to be more unenlightened than irritating ( thought it is that as well), which is really sad. I agree with you, friend.

It might be irritating for those who never had God prove Himself to them.
For those of us whom He has proven Himself to, it's a matter of what they say about Him that makes it clear that they do or don't know Him.

It doesn't matter who you worship (Christ, Krishna, Buddah, etc...) they are all the same "One true God."
