I have a 2 year old Scottish Deerhound mix and he has a swollen stomach; and i felt his tummy and it felt very hard; like it wasn't moving when he breathed. he isn't breathing really hard or anything because of it, though. he's acting completely normal. could it be a type of worm in his stomach? or is he just bloated?

This could be serious. Large deep-chested dogs are prone to bloat, which is a condition where their stomach twists. They eventually become painful and go into shock. Surgery is usually needed, but is can be life threatening. It may not be this, and I don't mean to scare you, but don't take a chance. The sooner you get treatment, the better the outcome. It's an emergency if it's bloat (gastric torsion).

I suggestion would be taking him to a vet. He could simply blocked but you can never tell.

Good luck!

I would bring him to a vet, just to be on the safe side.
