What do you need to know about the Ruger P-89, .9mm pistol? Although it has an aluminum frame it is rugged. It is dependable. It is rated for +P and even +P+ ammo.
Keep it lightly lubed with a Teflon based lubricant and it will serve you well.

Ruger makes the strongest pistols on the market. Reliable and pretty accurate right out of the box. And, a good value too. My only complaint against Ruger pistols is that for a guy like me with large hands, they don't make the controls big enough, and there are no commercially available oversized replacements for the slide release or thump safety. But I'd never turn one down!!

a rugger? Well, in general, just a tip, you normally want to find about about what kind of info is available about something before you buy it. Just for next time.
In general, the Ruger P89 is solid as a rock, very reliable, and reasonably priced. It isn't a precision pistol for competition shootings, but for going to the range to let off some stress or personal defence it is very adequate.
