If a doctor's offices is going to drug test (doing a urine analysis) is if figured out differently than how it is done at a place that drug tests for probations? Just wondering, thanks.

The difference between drug testing in different places is the level of sensitivity to the test. For example, military enlistment services (MEPS) routinely uses 50 nanograms as their cut-off point for what is considered a positive test for cannabinoids, or marijuana.

Other agencies might use 25 nanograms as the cut-off for what is considered positive. Still other agencies might have an even lower threshold.

So far as I know, they all buy the same kits. When the doctor's office collects a sample, they can use their testing kits or send it to a lab. Urine tests are done with testing strips that get put in the urine and change color in the presence of a substance. In a certain region, there is likely only one lab that is trusted to do the drug screening. In the end, it's all the same.

Most drug samples go to the same lab. Dr. offices dont test they send them out for testing.

It is all dependent on what is requested by the person who has ordered the test. Most drug screens are sent to a lab, so it doesn't matter where it's collected. It all depends on what the person requesting the screen wants included in the screen.

No, but results may differ! Especially depending on the type of testing done!

My md uses a hospital lab, not a private! Though my urologist uses his own, but they are not looking for drugs!

Not really. You are going to get caught either way, so put down the bong and wait a month and hope for the best.
