Great job fanning the flames on THAT one.

I don't think you can become an American citizen unless you show you have some skills by which to support yourself.

You can't *choose* to not support yourself and easily get welfare (although I'm sure there are some people who have found ways of cheating the system). That's why, after working a pre-established period of time, you can get temporary unemployment supplements if you're FIRED, but not if you QUIT.

To get government assistance, you have to provide tax records showing how very little you've earned. You have to provide documentation showing your job searches. A significant chunk of the assistance will be food stamps, which can't be used as money for stuff other than food unless you make back-street contacts where you can illegally sell them. Oh--and the majority of assistance goes toward children. If you have children and use their assistance for things OTHER than their support, you're a real jerk.

Become old, be between 1 day and 18, or be disabled!

There is NO SUCH THING as welfare, unless you are talking corporate welfare!

If you are referring to TANIF, that is a temporary program and they are not going to let you sit on your duff and not seek employment! I think the total lifetime money benefits you can receive is 5 or 6 years!

If you are just slamming those who receive some type of assistance, like nursing homes, it is you who took your parents houses and cash so you could get the house and we could pay for their nursing home!

Well seeing that our government is hoarding our land and selling gas leasing and oil rights and not sending us a check I think we all are entitled to go on welfare if we want. The Indians were smart enough to sue the government and get checks from those land leasing payments, we are too dumb and continue to fall into captivity as our government gets richer and we get poorer.

Just go to the local welfare office and sign a piece of paper stating you will vote for a democrat every four years.

You can't be serious. This has to be a joke. Anyway, you can't just go on welfare because you don't want to work...and I just realized I was about to tell you what you needed to qualify for welfare, but, um no, I'm not going to help you do that. Have fun working.
