Jeez, it's not a big deal and you can't just expect them to fall in front of your feet. Just take your time and sooner or later, some hot guy will appear from the heavens and you'll be mesmerized by his beauty so much that you'll come back to Yahoo! Answers begging us to give you advice on how you can make this guy like you.
Edit: OK, that's nice. Your at an age where your very vulnerable to all types of guys due to your insecurity. Have a nice time in high school.

Could be that you dont show your emotional side to them maybe, like you dont show emotion because that would be weakness. Just getting along with someone is totally different to being close to them.
The way i see it is the difference between a friend and a close friend is the ability to share emotions without being judged or embarressed. If you cant do that with a guy then you probally wont get past first base with them :)
