If you need a certification, the most widely accepted certificates are the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association. In general, it is easiest to get ARC classes taken.

The Infant and Child CPR and First Aid class runs about 6 hours and is a piece of cake. Our local chapter teaches it pretty much every week and weekend.

You can locate a class close to you by finding your ARC chapter at the national website's chapter locater- www.redcross.org

I learned from Red Cross classes, you may try a hospital
in your area-- sometimes they have outreach community
services like that

your local fire dept. probably offers a class. try them first. sometimes all you pay is the fee for the card and materials and not the actual class itself.

The Red Cross should have this available too, call them and ask.
