All [other] things have been created through him and for him. (17 )Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist
I noticed that the word - other- has been inserted..This is all talking about Christ..exactly what OTHER things did he created and what OTHER things were made to exist through him? I don't understand..

so you are telling me that Jesus helped create things? Gen. doesn't mention any of this when it speaks of God creating the heavens and the earth..the sun and water and everything else..It was created by God alone..He doesn't need a helped ..he is God..HE created it..Maybe this scripture simply means..Jesus has God in him..God came to earth in the Flesh as John 1 : 1 states..Those explanations that were given..really make no sense at all..That is just the way I feel ..No disrespect intended to the Jehovah's Witnesses.

No it is not I that Satan has blinded..
Your Bible has translated the 2 Cor. 4:4 that you mention like this..
4 among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through
The NIV..(translated by 100's of scholar..all named I might add)
Translated 2 Cor. 4:4 this way..
The god of this age has blinded the mind of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, he is the image of God.
Meaning...he is the very radiance of divine Glory.

Col 1:15 -17
It begins by saying he is the image of the invisible God.
a) John tells us no one has seen God at anytime
b) Heb 1:3 Jesus is the exact representation of God
c) 2 Cor 4:4 states that if we believe Jesus to be more than an image we are an unbeliever and are blinded by Satan.
(This could explain why you are having a hard time understanding such a simple truth)
Next: Firstborn of all creation
a) Firstborn means eldest of oldest. This means that Jesus is the oldest of all creation. (the first thing God created.)
Why because God is Love
Vs 16: John 1:3 shows that all other things were created 'through' Jesus.
The Greek word for 'through' means 'channel' the same word you would use for messenger.
The letter came by messenger. The messenger didn't write the letter, he only was the channel inwhich we received it.
Since Jesus was created and since Jesus helpped in the creation of all (other) things.
Col 2:8 states to avoid philosophies of men.
Plato taught the trinity, not Paul, not John, not Peter, not Jesus, nor did Jehovah.
Rev 1:6 John tells us about the God and Father of Jesus.
Rev 3:12 Jesus tells us about his God
Eph 1:3, 17 Paul tells us about the God and Father of Jesus
1 Pet 1:3 Peter tells us about the God and Father of Jesus.
Genesis tells us about 'Making man in our image'
Jesus as an image would be a good pattern for man.

As for the insertion of words:
The KJV also adds words at many places in the scriptures and frequently signifies these additions by italicizing such added words. In fact all Bible translations add words to make the intended meaning of the original language clear to the readers of another language. The NWT usually indicates added words with brackets [ ] and does so at Col. 1:16, 17 with ["other"].
All Bible translators supply needed words in accordance with their own under-standing of what meaning the Bible writer actually intended. Any serious Bible student knows this elementary fact. You can see that the KJV translators (and NIV, NKJV, TEV/GNB, Beck, etc.) added the word "other" at Acts 5:29 (and rightly so) even though it is not actually written in the original text (also compare KJV at Job 24:24). Were they, then, dishonestly, blasphemously adding to God’s Word? Of course not!
The highly regarded NASB (and NEB; REB; NIV; JB; NJB; NKJV; ETRV; BBE; NLV; MKJV; MLB; Darby; Beck; and Young’s) translate Is. 45:14 - "There is no other God." The word "other" is not in the Hebrew OT manuscripts and has been added by the translators (and rightly so)! The NWT renders it "there is no [other] God." RSV and NRSV have also added "other" and also another, similar phrase: "there is no other, no god besides him."
And we find NEB; REB; NJB; NAB (‘91); GNB; and LB (for example) have honestly added "other" at Ezek. 31:5 to show that a certain tree towered above "all other trees" whereas KJV, NASB, RSV (for example) have it towering "above all trees." Since it does not tower above itself, the Bible writer obviously excluded it from the phrase "all trees" (even though it is also a tree itself and a part of "all trees") just as Col. 1:16 excludes Jesus from all other things. (RDB)

We are the other, everything else other than Jehovah and Jesus is the other, and Christ did not make the other Jehovah did but through Jesus Christ all other life and earthly things where made for him to rule as king with Jehovah as the ruler of the universe. (17) by means of him (all other things) were made to exist. Jehovah made all other things other than Jesus with Jesus for Jesus. all other creation of God were created by God (Jehovah) and his firstson (the one we call Jesus) as his assistant according to Proverbs 8:22-30 (The wisdom) Prefiguration of Jesus showed as a helper of God, he is not a co-creator God almighty according to Jesus create us is lke and engineer and a superintend of construction, the engineer is the responsible of the construction and the supervisor verify if every is done as the will of the engineer.

Jehovah used his only-begotten Son as the master worker in creating all other things. OTHER things simply means all things besides Jesus himself.

--THIS PROVERB refers to Christ as "the master worker" who had a part in the making of the universe, after he was created:
(Proverbs 8:22-31) “22 “Jehovah himself produced me as the beginning of his way, the earliest of his achievements of long ago. 23 From time indefinite I was installed, from the start, from times earlier than the earth. .....30 then I came to be beside him as a MASTER WORKER (my caps), and I came to be the one he was specially fond of day by day, ......"

Jehovahs witness has an identical version of the Bible exept a few changes where they try to hide that Jesus is the son of God. Please try to ignore them...
