A little lesson on Egyptian deities:
In the early days, when gods walked the earth
Ra (God of creation, light) fought the evil demon Apep(Serpent).
In this battle,Ra was injured and would have died if it wasn't for his companion,Seth(God of Evil, darkness).
Together,Seth and Ra fought this evil from a darker age,and with much struggle, managed to banish him in the world he came from...
Now,please answer the quesion:
-Is light better than darkness ?
-Is darkness better than light ?

I like the warmth light brings, and also the peaceful solitude in the darkness. I think that they are equally important. Without darkness, we wouldn't know the value of light and same goes for vice versa. I don't see either as good or bad or better than the other. They are equal, both with thier good and bad points.

Light and Darkness battle for ascendancy in time and area of the entire earth, but they only push each other from place to place and hour to opposite hour. Neither can ever win, but the battle will never end.
Every belief structure on earth believes in the above battle in one way or another. Parable, fable, myth, or fact.

I didn´t know that one (Apep, I mean) But in any case, equilibrium is necessary now isn´t it? If there wasn´t light or if there wasn´t darkness, how would you define the missing one?

Light leads the way in the dark. Yet, we wouldn't know light if it were not for the dark.

It's like cold in the absence of heat, or darkness in the absence of light. Cold cannot "change" into heat. The presence of heat vanquishes cold. Darkness doesn't "Change" into light. The presence of light vanquishes darkness.

also ..one need to ask self..
why is egypt no longer the great..like it once was..
because GOD shamed it, and stripped it..when the JEWIS left Egypt.
there is in the gospel of JOHN..Christ is the LIGHT of MEN.
or GOD(love) is the LIGHT of MEN.
satan is the god of darkness...when light come..darkness flee right?
so being a christians ..born again in His Power..in His Love..in His sound truth...ye too..will have "HIS GREATER LIGHT" in ye.
