To qualify, you must have a net worth greater than 1 million USD.

If you can bring your money to my country, pay higher tax rates, and be larger consumers, you are welcome any day.

Hey over all I like the idea. The issue is however not about people with some degree of money or even skill level. The issue is about people who have no skills and are stuck in poverty crossing the borders and coming into this country. I mean all the Latin American country's like Mexico are doing is exporting their poverty to the U.S. so we have to deal with it and is does not hurt their economy. I feel for these people, but at the same time hate them. So your idea is not bad but it is not the well off that are causing the immigration problems, it is the poor. Who come here in droves, supported by their home country's.

Phjun, do you have a million dollars? No? Well then, I am sorry, but you'll have to leave.

Think about it, Bin Laden has billions of dollars.

While many cases of immigration into the USA are based partly on monetary wealth, basing it solely on that is a HUGE mistake. I am not against LEGAL immigration, but just think that we need to have better control over it. Concerning ILLEGAL immigration, I consider it an act of aggression against the US, and should be acted on accordingly.

We are moving toward a worldwide society. Citizens from third world counties are moving to first world countries for their better opportunities. Conversely citizens from wealthy countries are retiring to poorer countries in order to retain their high standard of living during retirement.

Some day I believe that free movement will be considered a basic human right. It is inherently immoral to prevent someone from moving to an area based on the fact that they were not born there(citizens).

Than substitute your subject count number to be of yet another u . s . somewhat. The U.S. already facilitates 2 million criminal immigrants each year. it particularly is extra effective than the different u . s .. right here is what i think of roughly your essay. i think of which you're asked to do this so as that your essays could be published in papers, or sent to the selection one million traitor of this u . s . - who additionally occurs to be pushing for this "style of coverage". As he's making an attempt to persuade the american people, and the two the properties of senate, and congress, to let us realize it particularly is okay, and to believe them. you comprehend him via the call GW Bush. So in spite of the actuality that your essay could look real for sophistication credit - i think of it particularly is going to likely be used against those people who're adversarial to the entire thought of open door immigration rules.

Sorry, but I don't like it. It sounds like too many other Third World pestholes, where anyone with money can buy into our out of anything. These places have 90% of the wealth concentrated among 10% of the population, and this sounds too much like that.

You've stated just the opposite. You've limited immigration to the upper elite. That's not "open" immigration. No American with a brain has a problem with people that come to this Country LEGALLY. We do however have a LARGE problem with those who come here illegally, and don't care how much money they have.

I think anyone who comes here should come here legally and maybe you are on to something maybe they should be required to have a net worth of 1 million dollars. that way they are not coming here and sucking up the welfare system.
