This mornig, i woke up and ran, and ate a salad. Than i got bored and i'm eating chicken nuggets right now. I have no selfcontrol. HELP

one problem i've noticed with a lot of people, is they do a lot of eating at home in their spare time. they sit down and just eat and eat, either from boredom, or to keep themselves busy.

i recommend you go out when you have spare time, and don't bring too much money with you (so you don't spend money on food). i'm sure you've probably noticed that people are more self-conscious when they're around people, and especially friends.

spend time with your friends instead of staying home and eating! doing something fun keeps you busy and makes you forget about eating.

eating no carbs, eating only protein.. i honestly think it doesn't matter what you consume as long as you don't consume too much of it. i understand it's tough to stick to a diet.. it's not easy! maybe having a friend do it with you, or joining a group really really helps. as long as you're not alone, you'll always find people that care for and support you.

i'm with you.. i have that same problem. i eat when i'm bored. like another Y! user said, ridding the house of junk / unhealthy foods usually helps. that way, when you ARE tempted, you have only healthy things to choose from. if you've got a sweet tooth, then stock up on plenty of fruit! they're just as sweet as candy, but i honestly think fruit taste better. you also get your nutrients and fruit servings for the day!

if you're not sure what fruits are in season, or how to pick out the really sweet ripe ones, just ask any fellow shopper in the fruit/vegetable section. i'm sure they'll help you out. i'm sure you won't need to ask though.. at a lot of supermarkets these days, next to where they post the price for the fruits/vegetables, they post helpful tips on how to select ripe fruits/vegetables.

you've got my support if you need it! i hope i've helped

I agree, if you know you can't stick to a diet, then you need to toss everything out of your house that will cause you to gain weight. Also, you should pick the diet that is right for you, personally I know that I can eat carbs and have it not effect my weight, but I know that dairy products do make me gain weight. So you should find the diet that is right for you. Also, may I suggest trying the Fat Smashers Diet, I used it and I lost 15 pounds in the 1st 9 days of the diet.
If you get bored, eating is not the solution, being bored means your mind needs to be stimulated, so find take up a new hobby or read a good book. I know you can do it. Good luck.

hey,

the best thing you can do is remove all un healthy foods from your kitchen. that should stop temptation. then stop going out to eat. thats going to be another major problem. unhealthy foods doesnt meen no sugar what so ever. just low suger, low fat, low carb etc. get a membership to a gym, start working out and running (running burns the most calories). and make sure you eat in portions. one salad is enough. if ur still hungry grab a bannana and wait till the next meal. and if that doesnt work move to europe :). and it takes time it doesnt happen over night. you'll see progress soon just give it time. and dont start with running three miles. start by running short (maybe 1/2 a mile) then after a week of that. try a little longer. dont kill your self trying to lose pounds. make it enjoyable. make it a habbit

you don't need to lose 15lbs. thats too much weight, but your right. you can afford to lose some.

i would post a list on what you eat and do for exercise each day that way if you slack off it will stare you in the face the next day =P

also, you can write down your eating/exercising plans for the weeks so they will also stare you in the face

you can also ask someone to run with you! that way you can't back out =D
