My son has turned 16. He has taken driver's ed, but here they require 6 months of driving on an instruction permit before he gets his license. That won't happen until December. It now looks like he has just been hired for his first job. It is kind of down the street but probably a good 1.5 miles if he needed to walk it. I work on the other side of town - so it becomes difficult for me to take him with any consistency. What resources have you used to fill this transportation gap?

Take public transportation, cab, or walk. Maybe he can pay a friend or co worker for a ride to or from work.

A mile and a half? walk, run, jog, bike. He'll be healthier.

Mile and a half? Get him a bike.... It'll be good for him.
