My best guy friend likes me. I don't like him, but lately he's been telling me that he's been getting threatening comments on myspace saying he doesn't have a chance with me, or that he's out of my league, or people have been telling him that in general.
Thing is it doesn't make sense, I'm an average girl, I keep a low profile, I'm someone who isn't popular, or any of that stupid crap, yet he's getting told this? It's not right or fair. He's not butt ugly or anything. Why are people doing/saying this to him? He's a sweet guy, and it hurts me.

Sad to say something you might not want to hear but it seems you are not so concerned with him being hurt. If anyone slandered people I cared about I would take a stand. I think if you are a true friend to him you will do just that and be less concerned with your "averageness" and more concerned with his feelings. Sorry just a few thoughts... stand up for your friends and they will stand up for you.

I hate to tell you this but it sounds like you are above average hotness and don't know it. You sound like a sweet caring girl that all the guys probably have secret crushes on. It sounds like those other guys like you and are teasing him because they feel that you are out of thier league and are jealous of him.. if you really want to help your friend out you should date him and make all those other guys look like chumps and you will boost his attractiveness to other women, so when he dumps you he will be able to date any girl in school he wants ;)

Well stand up for your friend on his myspace page!!! If the people telling him this are your friends, you need to set them straight and even if they arent you still need to stand up for him. My b/f thinks I am too good for him and I could do better than him, but he knows I love him eventhough he doesnt understand why. If someone said something like that to him, there would be heck to pay, and they would be paying ME!

well if its guys that are sayin that to him then they are probably jealous because they might like you to and they are to sh to tell you but i think you should give him a chance because he can be the guy but if you only like in 6,7,or 8th grade it could probably be your first love you never know
