why are the people who "believe" in global warming usually not Christians? IMHO, there is more to believe in the Bible than there is in ANY report from the U.N. on global warming. These weather "models" can be tuned to tell them WHATEVER they want the models to tell them about weather in the future.

You forgot to add that some of the "historical readings" come from a day when you couldn't take a dump without a quick run to the back yard. But, global warming is happening, the climate is changing. Just in my 40 years, I've noticed a change. I remember a time when Memphis had actual seasons, now it just jumps from summer to winter with barely a pause in between. Now, whether this is from anything man is or has done or just a natural cycle of the earth I don't think anyone can really say. We only have about 100 years of data, and like I say, some of that you just have to question because of the age of it. Science keeps referring to all this stuff as if electronic measurements to the 1000th decimal place have always been the most common thing, and it's just not so. Informed skepticism is called for. We do know, though, that some things can be done to make the environment better, and as beings given dominion over God's creation it is incumbent upon us to seek out these methods and utilize them to the fullest.

First, most who buy the global warming scam serve a different God, Oh they will deny it, they will claim they don't believe in any god, but they do. They serve the god of self, or of earth worship, much like witches today. A tree is much more valuable than a human being. Some even believe that everything would be fine, if all the human just "died off"

Most Christians worth their salt, knows that God is in Control Further more, we also know that there WILL be global warming, big time. In fact this whole world will be "cleansed with fire" oh what terrors for the tree huggers. But that makes way for God's perfect new world.

It's a red herring. A diversion.

If someone doesn't believe in global warming then they are against sin.

If there are people against sin around it pricks the conscience.

edit:

In a way it shows the hypocrisy inherent in human nature, because if you aren't on board with the global warming issue then you are considered a bad person, and it's ok to criticize you, thereby circumventing the pricked conscience.

I have seen the data collected for the river that lays 20 ft out my back door. I had to collect the data from a USGS.gov web site and plot it for a report. I have seen it on paper.
My father was born and raised less than 20 miles from here on a farm. He has farmed and kept up with the issues of the farmers all his life (66 years). Although he only has a highschool education, he knows climate change is happening, he has seen it first hand in his lifetime.
We have serious issues in our near future, it's time to wake up. Those who don't trust science, or the tree huggers, one day they will talk to an old farmer who has no agenda to make them accept the truth. Then maybe they will understand.
Every Kansas farmer feeds 175 people & you.

BTW most farmers here are Christian but NOT fundamentalist and can't afford to buy stock in oil!

There is global warming,no one can deny that, but anyone who thinks that it's caused by carbon dioxide or it's reached new levels has been mislead.

Our current average temperature is about the same as in the middle ages, also carbon dioxide is at about 370 parts per million with only around 3% of it coming from human activity.

Where do you get this assumption that *everyone* who believes in global warming are not Christians? Care to cite a source?

I think you have faulty information. Is there a reason for this Christian thing everybody seems to have a hang-up on?

Are you serious? You're terribly misinformed. I disagree with your statement/question completely.
