This is only one of this user's unsubstantiated rants against teachers and public education. In another post, he attacks teachers' unions as "left wing" and anti-Christian. However, if we take another look at the link posted by U.P. above regarding a teacher who got into trouble for preaching his Christian beliefs, we see that the teacher's defense is being taken care of by the New Jersey Education Association--an affiliate of the NEA.

In all of this user's rants against teachers and public education, he has never provided any evidence or any links whatsoever to prove his ridiculous claims. Yet, as with U.P. above, there have been plenty of others who have provided links and evidence to contradict him.

To finally answer the question: I am a teacher and no, I am not afraid of being recorded during class because there is not an anti-Christian bias to public education. Your comments are an insult to the ethics of our profession and an insult to the millions of Christian teachers who work in public schools.

What does recording a classroom session have to do with learning? I suspect teachers don't like the kids to be distracted with the g/d cameras or voice recorders. Tell your kids to take notes like Einstein or Newton.

I'm not. I doubt the select few who bring their bias to the classroom are worried about being recorded...or they'd...you know...not talk.

The only teacher I saw get busted was a fundie christian... he ranted in class about religion, denied it when a student complained, and then screamed "unfair" when the student produced a recording of the rant...

Do you have any news articles to cite? I'll go find the one I'm talking about and post it here...

I never had a teacher who had an anti-christian bias.

Anti-christian bias is acceptable behavior in most of society these days, as far as I can see. I guess we need to make sure we are teaching our kids christian values at home first. My kids are pretty sharp when they come across this bias at school, they know how to handle themselves and grow stronger in their faith despite these teachers. I'm not put out at all, in response to a previous poster. I know whose on my side! I am also a public school teacher and I don't teach my faith to any child, I live it out in front of them. Too bad for the anti-Christians that they can't police that too.

Public schools are for all citizens. America is a secular country not run by one church, as the founding fathers made it. If one wants a non-secualar education for ones children it is available in most areas, get over yourself.

I think Christians often confuse anti-Christian, and pro-everything else.

Hmmm... I see you've not posted anything to illustrate your concerns... have you been able to find anything to substantiate your position? Like the answer above?
