no, your awake. Sometimes slightly sedated. Lasik involves the use of a laser to reshape the eye. The surgeon makes a slight incision and lifts a "flap" of the lens of your eye back, then uses a laser to reshape you eye. Then the "flap" is laid back across the eye to heal. It's not painfull and heals quickly. They tell you to leave your eyes covered for 24 hours. that's basically it.
