I was running late for work and for some reason I had to walk to work. As I rounded a corner by a creek there were to baboons in a field. One of them turned on me and charged as soon as he saw me. It jumped on my back as I ran and sunk its teeth into my neck. I couldn't shake free. I ran to my work and no one would help get it off of me. I finally got free of it and locked it in a bathroom. I could hear it slamming itself against the door. I walked around the place for a bit and there were other mammals at my work for some reason. Animals that don't even exist but ppl kept telling me they were raccoons. I was so scared one of these would attack me also but they never did. Then someone let the baboon out of the bathroom and it targeted me again. It didnt seem interested in anyone else as if it hated me in particular. I awoke as the baboon sank its teeth in once again.

This dream really freaked me out. Any ideas on why I would dream such a thing or what it means?

Hmmm.....creek can represent a place of provision and nourishment and the field can represent a place of sowing and harvesting. You may have been nourishing some kind of trouble which was finally harvested in your life represented by the babboon. The babboon represents a unclean, violent, agressive and immoral issue which has sunk it's teeth into your life wounding you. And by being on your back it has become a burden to you. Locking it in the bathroom represents your way of cleaning up, relieving, and washing away the issues, but it refuses to go away. The other animals that you saw represent your depth of perception to see new problems and issues which seem threatning that other people can not see or identify with that's why they just saw racoons. Lastly, the part about the baboon getting out again. Even though it was locked up, there are other people who have the "key" to let this issue out again and release it on you. The baboon could also be someone you know.

Sounds pretty awful! You can probably deduce the meaning best yourself, but maybe you dreamed that because you're stressed about certain problems or people at work (or not at work). Maybe others don't see the issues, and maybe you are telling yourself they don't exist or aren't big deals, but maybe they are to your subconscious, at least big enough deals that your brain is trying to make sense of them with dreams.
Or that could have been just complete nonsense. Some people say dreams don't have any rhyme or reason at all, but I think there's usually at least a reason you dream about such vivid things.

To dream that you are being attacked by an animal, is a warning to be careful with those around you. Take notice on who you know in your waking like that shares and exhibits the same qualities of the animal that attacked you in your dream.

Maybe the beasts signify certain stresses that you have at home or at work,.. everything coming at you fast and frenzied every angle and you`re trying to suppress it, or push it back.......some people have a monkey on their backs......Sir you have BABOONS,...whatever the problem,.. kick it in the *** before it sinks it teeth in you and rips you apart.!!!..........focus.. man.. focus..........

Stay away from zoos, and the continent of Africa! Oh, and one other thing. Quit trying to run over raccoons with your car. They know where you live.
