Take some responsibility. Put your hope in yourself and in your family. Live from the standpoint that noone is going to fix anything for you. The world does not owe you (or anyone else) anything. There will be no righteous government. Help yourself. When the world explodes around you there is only one person who is going to make sure you are ok and that is you. Work to form a close network of family and friends wo will work together and support each other and you no longer need to worry about what the government is doing or not doing. If this selfish mentality is bothersome for you, expand your network to include as many people as reasonably possible or start a non-profit solely for this purpose. My point is that although the principle sounds selfish it really deosn't have to be. My own personal views on this are that I don't give something for nothing, and I try to help people who are interested in moving forward with their lives. Sadly there are not too many people who fit this bill.
As far as God goes you should put your faith in him but do not look to God to solve the worlds problems. He won't. He gave us free will and intends to let us clean up our own messes. Even if you believe in the rapture, he will take up believers and leave the rest to sort out the earthly issues themselves.
For me the important thing is to take responsibility for your life and the lives of your family and make certain that regardless of world politics, wars, famine, disease, or whetever you are prepared to survive it. Good luck.
With love,
Shane K.

My total trust and hope is in God, however He does use people to do His work on the earth. No one is in office that He doesn't place there, no matter whether they seem good or bad to us, His purpose will be accomplished.
What people don't realize is that the problems in Iraq, are part of His plan. Not the fault of President Bush. President Bush has tried to help America and I thank him and God for this.

As for me, I will place all of my trust in Jehovah's Kingdom, not a worldy government that has had the past few hundred years to prove they can't even direct their own step. I want to be a part of his promise of a paradise, perfect health, and see my loved ones resurrected to live on earth with me. I can't wait till he destroys Satan the Devil and restores the earth to it's original condition....and sanctifies his name. And all the people who are trusting in themselves, politics, etc WILL know
that when the end of this wicked system comes it is by Jehovahs hand. Unfortunately many will have the same fortune as those in Noah's day. They were warned and warned and warned over and over. Jehovah shut the door to the Ark and they all perished, clawing at the Ark and begging to be let in, but their opportunity was past. Can't think of the scripture offhand but "Many will say Lord Lord and he will say "Get away from me you workers of lawlessness. They can't say they weren't warned and it's a real shame.

we should never trust our leaders.we should stay on them making them do right for us and this country and the land and natural wildlife yes we should trust God, and yes we should protect this world and the other of Gods creatures by getting involved with trying to stop the pollution and population growth and illegal aliens and protect endangered animals and all that we as individuals care about, we should get involved.
Peace

God works through people to use them as a mouth piece to talk to others. I dont think it's good to put your trust into man-kind because this world is not trust worthy.....

It doesn't hurt to believe in a power higher than yourself, but for better or for worse, if anything is going to change or get fixed, humanity will have to do it itself.

I think I misunderstand this question. I mean, if God were to run for office, I would vote for him. As it is, HE is so far above anything I CAN vote on, that it just isn't a real question for me.

both, we have to use our brains, hearts and common sense to solve our problems and pray for divine guidance after we've done everything we can.
