Well I'm 15 and I'm having an issue with my parents on the type of car I should have.My mom wants me to take her 2004 Nissan Maximam. It's an execellent car but I think I should have a car of my own that doesn't have 40,000 miles on it. The cars that I wanted was:
1.Scion tC
2.Audi A6
3.BMW
4.Mazda CX-7
5.Pontiac G6(coupe)
6.Volkswagen Eos
What should I do?

I complety understand what your talking about. I would try to stay away from the cars that aren't american, because insurance is higher. There are three perfect cars for you to start to consider. The Ford Fusion, Focus, and Escape are your best options, and are pretty cheep with great gas mileage. I happen to own a 2007 Ford Fusion and It's great on gas and the insurance is pretty cheep. Plus ford ofters discounts for new drivers sometimes, so it's all good

I'd hold out for a:

Dodge Viper Copperhead
Chevy Corvette Z06
Ferrari F430
Porsche Carrera GT
Lamborghini Diablo 6.0
Lamborghini Murcielago
Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG
Bentley Continental GT
McLaren F1
Ford GT40
Ferrari 360 Modena
Cadillac XLR-V
Aston-Martin DB7

If your parents don't have $250,000 burning a hole in their pockets, TAKE THE MAXIMA!!! A 15 year-old should ALWAYS start off with a vehicle that their PARENTS recommend!!! You said it yourself, the Maxima is an excellent car!!! TAKE IT!!! Good luck, son...

Wow,
You are one spoiled little bunny...
your Mom wants to give you a car
only 3 years old that at 40K miles
is barely broken in,
and YOU want a brand new one!
OK...you live in a world very different
from mine, but I think you should
go for the Scion, the Pontiac or the VW.
If you choose the VW, try to get
the diesel engine...lots better mileage,
but I forgot, money isn't an issue, is it?

The answer above me listed the cars that a 15 year old should start off with. The Ford Fusion gets up to 31 mpg, the Focus gets up to 37, and the Escape gets up to 28. The Fusion is a mid-sized sedan that seats 5, has a reliable and powerful engine, and is very stylish. It has the same safety features the Escape has (look down further to see the Escape). Specs and pictures here: http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/fusion/
Consumer reports from people who own the Fusion: http://autos.yahoo.com/2007_ford_fusion-reviews_user/

Then, there's the Ford Focus if you want something smaller and with better gas mileage. It gets up to 37 mpg and seats 5 people. It handles pretty sporty with an engine that will last you forever. Check it out here: http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/focus/

Last, but not least, there's the Ford Escape which is a small SUV. It gets up to 28 mpg, has tons of power, can haul, and has off road capabilities. It seats up to 5 comfortably, has 2 separate electronically controlled systems that reinforce your safety. One controls the brakes and wheels when it senses a roll over accident is near, and one controls the airbags and all the other standard safety features. It is also higher off the ground which makes it a tad safer too. Check it out here: http://www.fordvehicles.com/suvs/escape/

Your a spoiled brat if you turned down a practically new maxima with only 40k on it. When I turned 16, my dad gave me the keys to an 8 year old blazer with a bad tranny 100k and no heat (we live in michigan, and my b-day is in december). Count your blessings that your not my kid. Your first car should be a piece of sh*t because, when you wreck it it wont be so bad, and it will teach you a lesson about real life. Ill sell you my 95 lumina 130k, rust and black, but its got new tires...1000$

first of all, who is paying for this? If you're 15, you're not old enough to work a regular job, so for the sake of argument I'll assume your parents would be paying for your insurance, gas, maintenance, etc. I say you should be thankful your parents are offering you the Maxima, take it and drive it until you are responsible for your own finances and they YOU can buy whatever you want, until then you do what your parents suggest.

A 15 year old needs a matchbox car!!!!!!! You are far too young to have the responsibility of having your own car, regardless of the cost. My 17 year old son just got his first car....1989 toyota corolla

40,000miles is nothing, the car is just broken in. And if moms is giving you the keys, girl your in like flynn.
And the list of cars is great, if you have the money to pay for out of your pocket.
Go with the Maximam, well made car and one you'll enjoy driving.
