I believe that the Bible is God's Word. That being said, the Bible is clear about staying in fellowship with other Christians. I think it is an essential part of our walk with the Lord to be in communion with other Christians. We are the "flock." The one sheep lost apart from the flock will surely die. We were not meant to be isolated from each other. I think it's in our best interest to attend church, and keep ourselves accountable. Every little bit helps! Iron sharpens irons. Plus, if you are a Christian you know the importance of tithing. Find a good fellowship and it will be a blessing to you. God bless!

The answer to this is yes one does not have to attend any kind of church to be a christian but your life should be one of a good heart and a life of service to ones fellow man and to God. One should remember to that you don't even need to be a christian to be a spiritual person. The true sons of God have come from all religions of the world regardless of their back ground or of what faith they are from.

YES! I know of several disabled people who are the epitome of what you call a genuine Christian, born again, washed in the blood of the lamb...etc., but due to physical impairments cannot leave their bed or home. Yet they read their Bible daily and pray and talk to God as if he were there in the flesh in regular conversations.
I will only mentioned 2 of them to save space.
One of these disabled Christians was forced by her health to retire teaching Sunday School in her church. Another one is my sister who is going through post-Polio and cannot get around enough to leave the house except by special medical transit van and thats to go to the Dr..
SO YES! Both of the people I have mentioned are what you are asking about.
Although I am Pagan, I have the utmost respect for these people as they actually do their best to live the teachings of Jesus!

Sure... why not?!
None of the apostles went to church; churches are man-made... each with their own man-made rules, rituals and ceremonies. These alone, (without the Holy Spirit), can lead people into a false sense of salvation. But, in all fairness, we as Christians should seek out a Spirit-filled church to strengthen our faith through the association with other believers.

I think so. Maybe I'm justifying myself because I quit going about a year ago. I became very cynical about the organized church; seems like a combination of broadway and business. I do miss the fellowship of some, and will probably start back someday.

Sure, The word Christian means Follower of Christ. Christ is not his last name. It means the anointed one. God is NOT church or Religion. His bible will answer all your questions. Just ask him to open your eyes and heart and start reading. he will do the rest.

Yes, a building or congregation does not define your relationship with God. As long as you live the christian lifestyle according to the bible and honestly repent your sins to God and ask for forgiveness, that's all you need.

Yes, I think so.
And anyway, who are YOU to qualify who IS and IS NOT a Christian?
I don't get all woo-hoo about this "born-again, blood-bought" dialogue.
There are plenty of good Christian people out there with love in their heart, helping other human beings, who don't need their "faith" or "belief" to be qualified by anyone.

I have to have Church. Its refreshing week-to-week and the Bible says "do not forsake the gathering." +++++
"Faith comes By Hearing the Word of God"
which I also have my day-to-day walk.
