I've never encountered one. Faithful Mormons don't drink alcohol, tea, coffee or smoke tobacco, they don't swear, they dress modestly, they don't have sex outside marriage. They donate to humanitarian causes and to the poor in their own society, they observe the sabbath, try to do good works regularly and often in secret, and they visit one another and support one another.

It's not about legalism, it's about living the gospel and letting our love for Christ show in our works. We know that we are saved by grace alone, but we also know that we have covenanted at Baptism to follow Jesus, and live as He would. Would Jesus take drugs? Put on a show on Sunday but lie and cheat the rest of the week? Turn up at church in scruffy clothes which don't show respect for His Father?

These standards are not hard to keep to because there are such blessings for keeping them. It becomes really natural after a while, and we have the spirit to guide us and let us know when something is not appropriate and pleasing to God.

Many other churches or religions have some of these standards, but I don't know of any other which has all of them. Possibly the Amish...

Despite the stinky posts (Pastor Art, what did we ever do to you?) I am so happy to be LDS.

Different people have different perspectives on what it means to have high standards.
In my opinion, the Mormon church has a warped perspective of what should be high standards. I am not alone in that opinion.

For clarity, your question should say something along the lines of:
The Mormon church holds (place list here) to a high standard. Are there other churches that do that as well?

I hope you find the answer you're looking for.

I don't know, but the church was not meant to live by legalism. Legalism is not in line with a doctrine of grace. There is liberty in salvation. That's what Jesus died to get us away from. Strict adherence to a legalistic regime is what existed before He paid the price of sin. He came to set us free from all that. This does NOT mean you can go do whatever you want to, but you don't have live like a hermit crab either.

No. Most of them have higher ethical and moral standards than the Mormon church.

I know a Calvinsts (christians) who court, not date, this means they do not hold hands, or go out by themselves, always inlareg groups of people, they go over to the parents house and are always in the company of the parents, never alone, never kiss until they get married , no making out, ect.
I also know other chirstians who wear dresses all the time who never dance. never drink and never smoke and never take drugs , no sex before marriage ect. Depends on what your standard is.

I don't know what other churches standards are in general but I know a lot of religious and non-religious people with high moral standards.

Define "high standards"? If you mean the rules they all follow and the very specific doctrines, the United Pentecostal Church does the same thing.

The Amish surpass mormons, followed by Quakers as far as integrity and credibility.

Boy, this was easy.

It irritates me to think that Mormons insis they have the corner on "standards". They don't. In fact, a lot of churches have HIGHER standards. Mormon women think they are the only ones who bake bread, do crafts, etc... They are not. Mormons think that other churches promote immorality and immodesty- they don't! In our church all the girls and wonen dress extremely modestly- they do so because they want to glorify God, not because a church leader has set some sort of edict for them to follow. At the Christian colleges kids in our church attend the guidelines on dating are far more chaste. Our kids don't date casually, they date with the intent to marry and a lot of them save their first kiss for the wedding. We would never consider tempting our kids flesh by having dances for teenagers. Their hormones are raging! Why would we put them in a situation so erotic as dancing? Why do Mormons do so?

In addition to this our men are trained in how to be chivalrous. They are taught to open car doors, walk on the correct side of the sidewalk, pull out chairs and help with coats. Our men are taught to love thier wives as Christ loved the church- enough to give their lives for them. They are taught to be gentle and patient with wives- treating them as rare, precious and delicate.

Women are taught to be Proverbs 31 women, strong, capable and above reproach.

Mormons need to get over this "We're better than everyone" attitude they have.
