Why do you do that? Mary was just a woman, she died and her body went to the grave, just like any other woman's body. Jesus is your only mediator..go to the source....because that is what the Bible tells you to do...
"For there is one God and one Mediator
between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus-."

Only Catholics believe their religion is the only true church. Not being Catholic, but many in my family are, I can only say that it is my opinion that it is okay to pray to Mary or one of the Saint to intercede on your behalf with God the Father.
To put it in the most simplistic terms, it is like a child asking their friend's mother to ask his mother if the child can go do something. The idea is that one parent will listen to another parent more quickly than to a child.
Some people may think if God won't listen to them, maybe Mary or one of the Saints could "put in a good word" for the person.
Mary has appeared to many on the earth and being blessed among all women and a mother, I can see appealing to her as one mother to another.
Hope this makes sense to you.

We ask our Mother to intercede for us with the Jesus much like you ask the people you know to intercede for you. She is our Mother and we honor her and if she would be your Mother too you would honor her or be guilty of breaking the Commandment to honor your Mother. The Blessed Virgin has had an honored place every since Jesus walked the Earth. All the Martyrs and Saints that you owe your Christian Faith to has honored the Blessed Virgin. I am wondering what it is that she did to deserve so much animosity from so called "Christians" these days. The only thing I can think of is the enmity that God the Father said would be between the "woman" and the Devil. The Blessed Virgin is the woman told of in Scripture in the book of Genesis. This is why Jesus himself calls her woman because to actually call your Mother woman without a very good reason would have been sinful and we know Jesus never sinned.

Christ established one Church with one set of beliefs (Eph. 4:4–5). He did not establish numerous churches with contradictory beliefs. To see which is the true Church, we must look for the one that has an unbroken historical link to the Church of the New Testament. Catholics are able to show such a link. They trace their leaders, the bishops, back through time, bishop by bishop, all the way to the apostles, and they show that the pope is the lineal successor to Peter, who was the first bishop of Rome. The same thing is true of Catholic beliefs and practices. Take any one you wish, and you can trace it back. This is just what John Henry Newman, a former Protestant, did in his book An Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine.
Peace and blessings!

Yes, I agree. Also, they do not pray to Mary, the mother of Jesus. They are very very sadly misled! They are praying to the "Queen of Heaven", as "Isabella" professes.
"The children gather wood, the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead the dough, to make cakes for the "QUEEN OF HEAVEN"; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods that they may PROVOKE ME TO ANGER." Jer.7:18
This is the "Mother/child cult." The Roman Catholic Church has misled people into believing they are praying to Mary, the mother of Jesus (which is wrong in itself) but have deceived them into worshipping the QUEEEN OF HEAVEN!! Take the scales from your eyes, people, and see the Truth!

"Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hours of death..." Although some people get a bit carried away, the real teaching of the Church is about asking Mary (and the saints) to pray FOR us, to intercede on our behalf.
Such is the teaching, anyway. I think many non-Catholics don't understand that.

The Catholic Church is not the only True Church. I was raised a Catholic. All Religions have one basic belief and that is
the belief of possible life after death. All beliefs have a different agenda but it all comes down to one thing the belief in someone who will save them. thats the way we want to believe. Where would we be if we thought there was no next life. Hmmmm Take note about Religions they sure have come to the Point of " MONEY MONEY MONEY " If ya don't believe me all ya got to do is " Look "... sad but true... BA

In the Catholic religion we do not worship Mary alone, for she is the Mother of Jesus. The only reason we pray to Mary is for her divine Mother Love. We worship God and Jesus. We have the Holy Trinity:
God the Father, God, the son and God the Holy Spirit. Thus we say in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I hope that helps you.

No man can come to God accept through his mediator Christ.Obviously they don't take all the Bible into consideration. What of the scripture( I Timothy 4:1-4) that says that men would be refusing to marry. Claiming this is from God. They need to read a little deeper.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Where the Bishop is, there let the multitude of believers be;
even as where Jesus is, there is the Catholic Church'' Ignatius of Antioch, 1st c. A.D
