I COULD be talking about birds for example,"today I saw a pair of great **** nesting in the garden." Or "they look like blue **** to me, or could they be finches?"

Also, "****", is quite simply a male bird. Perfectly harmless word I think.

because people are rude, stupid and immature. you should be allowed to use those words in the bird section, but I guess you'll have to use other terms to describe the bird; call it a rooster or male bird instead of....you know.
well, its too bad the world has come to such standards that we cant use proper words for animals because people are so nasty!

Yahoo! Answers censorship working overtime, that's why. The system only recognises words, not the context in which they appear, that's all. It's a bit daft though, isn't it?

Because Yahoo! Answers thinks that you are saying a bad word. Or, an explicet word. You can always do a space in between when you are saying a "bad word." That way, Yahoo! Answers will think that it's fine.
I hope that this answers you question! Thanks and good luck!

It's called censorship, to protect underage readers from innocent words like t - i - t - s, even when you're talking about a bird.

True. I answered a question about the advisability of owning peafowl and another describing my small female dog. It's taking things too far.
