I have learned from my church-going experiences a few things. One, that too many humans are really just sheep and can not think for themselves, while a good many of the rest are hypocrites, while those in the middle (such as myself) become dumbfounded and dismayed by the doctrine of organized religion.
Two, that there are better places to spend time and worship, like the forest or a lake, where you feel closer to the spiritual than inside a dark, dank, dismal place with freaky organ music and a srange incense burning. (and)
Three, that too many people can't sing to save their lives.

It wasn't in a particular lesson, but...
we got a kid out the window during Sunday school class, wore the strangest costumes around a Christian camp, and I'm planning to sing the Top Gun song ("You've Lost that Loving Feeling") to some random girl as a prank at a Christian camp I'm going to.
I think I learned that Jesus isn't about rules and regulations, but rather, joyous reveling. :) I go to a really good Church... the one thing I hold against it is the fact that we have to wear nice clothes.

I'm an atheist who also has Christian’s friends and I’ve gone to church few times here in Canada,
What I learnt was that religious people can be nice and friendly but yet they are in denial,
I'm not saying being in denial is an evil thing but that’s not necessarily my choice!
I've also learnt that religion can help many people live a good organized life,
So I’m not totally against it!

I learnt to be egotistical in thinking that it is the one right religion and all others are wrong, that you have free will but should you use it god will punish you, being an individual is discouraged. Also boredom. Upon leaving the church I learnt happiness, respect for the beliefs of others, open mindedness, free will.

That Christians can be a pain in the butt. That includes me.

But seriously (oh, what I said is true, but not serious), I've learned that differences of opinion are ok, and acceptance of people is only really acceptance if you accept people when they don't agree with you.

That mob mentality actually does exist.

Take a group of people and get them riled up as a group, and they'll do things they'd never think of doing as an individual.

That the 'church' does NOT KNOW GOD, nor HIS SON.
That they have forsaken HIS COMMANDMENTS for the TRADITIONS OF MEN. And that He will come to judge them SUDDENLY, and will be caught in a snare.
Oh, and there is no truth in them. Bible one, Yahshua one, YHWH the ONE.
