paint walls in a tiny apt or not?

I have a 900 sq. ft apt and my living room is pretty tiny.. hardwood floors- light colored and then the framing at the bottome(the little trim) is not white, it is wood, matching the floor.. i was told not to paint a small room bc it would make the room seem even smaller, but would a beige look ok? any other colors?

Well....who ever told you that is wrong. As long as you choose a light color. There are certain colors that I refer to as "cheerful" colors. Those are colors that brighten a room and makes it look more inviting to guests. Such colors are yellow, sage, sky blue, apple green and etc. I normally buy my paint at Lowe's Home Improvement because they sell Laura Ashley & Waverly brand paint. I also prefer the "satin" finish paint because it gives a nice sheen to the walls.

Sure, just be sure the color is in the same family: warm vs. cool.....for example if the floors are golden oak, keep your color in the warm side......for example like the beige mentioned above......warm beige, not one with a bluish tint.

Paint is the least expensive way to give your apartment a special feel other than living inside a milk bottle.

Of course you can, just use clear tones, you said the color of the floor, i would use a grren or a clear brown.

Profecional painter. And remember to buy lowsheen or eggshell.

Try a soft yellow or if you want it to really pop use red but olny paint one wall to give the modern look;)

Light colours dear would be the only way to go with light furniture and rugs it will really open the place up.

Yes, go ahead and paint it. You don't want to paint it a dark colour, that is all.

beige is good. just dont do a red or anything dark, cause it would make it seem smallerrr.
