What would you do to keep busy? I have been there before (a few times) but was with other people. Being a female I am a little apprehensive about going out alone. But I don't want to be stuck in the hotel either....

If it's not raining in NYC, sign up for Grey Line Tours and be sure to take the one with a ferry ride (if you haven't already done so. Sit on top in the middle of the bus. See more that way. Bring your camera. The bus moves faster through the streets on the weekend because traffice isn't so bad at that time. Bring camera.

New York is one of the safest cities in the USA. Don't be so apprehensive. Meet some of your co-workers, or ask your social group for contacts in the City to hang out with. Go out and have a good time!

Check a site called thelunchclub.com Membership is free and they usually do some cool things both during the week and on the weekends! There is usually a $10-$15 fee and otherwise you pay your own way.

Check out the stores on the Upper East Side. It's shopping for the rich and famous. Take the 4,5, or 6 subway.

You are never alone in NYC as you know from previous visits.

I am sure you will be training with other people, (trainers or trainees) ask them for advice etc.....and enjoy your stay.
